HALEY: "Let me say [something] on this signage issue that is apparently just going off the charts from what I heard. What I told you guys is the truth. That sign was actually talked about in February. We have many signs up and in many different spots. I wanted that one in an area where the players would see it on their way to the field.

"It’s quoted by a Hall of Fame New York Giant, a player. It was in our New York Jets facility and in our Dallas Cowboys facility. Not in the locker but in the facility where the players and everybody could see it. We’ve got a bunch of former Jets here. Richie Anderson actually reminded me of that sign and how much it meant to him as a player. So, that’s the origin of the sign."

Lol..

I hope so, but i doubt it…

Haley has a way of keeping things shady….he later goes on and denies to say which player it was…

Yeah

But his claimed reasoning behind that is that he didn’t want people to look it up due to assumed profanities.

"I cleaned it up. We’re in a PC environment and we’ve got to be careful. That’s it on the signs. Let’s find a way to win."

…so he’s obviously trying to make sure the media doesn’t see profanities. Maybe the FO said something? I wonder if that’s the reasoning behind his calmer demeanor on the sidelines as the year has gone along?

Should be

Gawd what a massive waste of time and energy. If it was intended as a jab at LJ, then maybe LJ needed it. If it wasn’t, so what. The message is a pretty good one.

yeah... again... the main part of that sign is...

find a way to win as a team.

that’s what the Chiefs have been needing to do for a couple of years now.

But oh ye forgets

the Nancy’s here dont want Haley and Pioli to win, just leave.

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!

I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

How is one sign

translate to a “massive waste of time and energy” for a pro sports team? It’s not like Haley had to personally make the sign in his free time or anything…

Yeah, I get that part

My bad for being unclear but I’ve been hearing the same “huge waste of time and money” comment since “The Sign” first broke the news.

I hope

Whitlock feels pretty stupid about his rantings on the sign.

Whatever, Whitlock. Just because you’re gathering in your little cliques and spreading seeds of discontent doesn’t mean the rest of us should have taken offense to the sign as well.

He should have just said that in the first place...

then it wouldn’t have been a big deal. Don’t give the media ammo.

He did say that the

signs had been planned since February & I don’t imagine that he had much to do with the writing of them probably just a list that he & his assistants put together. He said that it was Richie Anderson who reminded him that the same sign had hung at the Jets complex when they had been there.
Some of the assistants were probably in charge of the signs (just as he pointed out yesterday) & maybe he just hadn’t put 2 & 2 together until after the big deal was made about it. I’m of the opinion that the timing was bad but when else have they had time to play catch up?
I believe that it was all innocent & just blown way out of proportion.
And yes, I am working on my letter to Santa as I speak, for you non-believers out there!! :)

Haley is a rookie head coach

Without a doubt Haley has made a number of mistakes sofar, but that comes with being a rookie. I think it will be key to see him learn from the mistakes. I hope does and he succeeds.

There are signs everywhere

Signs of LJ losing his job, as soon as J Charles breaks a 40+ yards td run, then LJ is finished. No way he goes back to starter if J Charles breaks a big one. It’s been interesting to see this lineup/roster change on a weekly basis! A sign of the times. Mr. J signing off.

People have made much ado about nothing...

And I honestly don’t get where anyone gets off asking for Haley and/or Pioli to be fired…that is the most irresponsible thing we could do right now. It would set the team back even further.

How about we quit jumping on Haley’s ass every time he doesn’t give a straight answer or puts a sign in a hallway? Haley deserves more than seven games before he’s fired—hell, we gave Herm three years. Let’s be fair and level-headed here.

Top 5 things I'm tired of hearing about in KC.

5. All of the Haley/Pioli bashing.
4. Jason Whitlock’s big mouth.
3. The Chiefs’ losing ways.
2. LJ is still a (starting) RB for the Kansas City Chiefs
1. The signs. Who cares!?
