Patriots Release Kendall Simmons OL
Former First round pick of the Steelers was relased by the Patriots today.
He suffered a Achilles tendon injury last year in week 4.
Just want to look at the possibility of the Chiefs maybe signing this Veteren. I personally expect it considering hes coming from the New England Patriots. Turns out that has been the trend and we do need Offensive lineman who are good. Not to mention our Offensive line has been riddled with many injuries, so it cant hurt right?

Its
Kendall Simmons….not Kendrell. He was only with the Pats for a few months.
He is a 30 yr old RG with an injury. With that being said he is still better than who we have…..
Sign him up!!

You mean 'Kendall' Simmons
this former Steeler doesn’t share first names with Kendrell Bell.
We had all off-season to go after him, would be kinda sorry to bring him in now….but he’s still probably better than who we got.

This guy is better than Mike Goff

If he wasn’t dead we could pick him up.

Lol
I haven’t seen this guy in ages! I remember him being on cable public access when I was growing up. He’s one of those type of people that you can’t help but laugh at for just looking and being the way they are. It’s like Joel x 10

everyone needs a friend ...
… but the Chiefs don’t need a 30 yr old over-the-hill reject with a past history of injuries …
seriously, we don’t … sadly, because he WAS with the Pats for ANY amount of time, I’d be shocked if they didn’t go after the guy

ok
this patriots cards thing…YES WE TAKE PLAYERS FROM THOSE 2 TEAMS…
why? well gosh, maybe its because we stole the cardinals staff, and took the GM(the man who brings in the players) over from NE…so…of course on a team where they dont want to spend cash till they see what they have…they will go get guys they KNOW…not because they are the best, but because there are no surprises, and most important, is that they have a base to judge their other talent against….few understand that even in the draft pioli didnt have his own people, they still had the old scouts in place…all of this plays into the concept that we assembled our staff/scouts etc too late, and it is the first year…
I just dont see why people have issues with it…I mean…patriots=ton of super bowls in the past 10 years…cards? went to the super bowl last year….honestly with 6 wins in two years, where is the room to complain

Goff
Has a string of consecutive starts dating back to 2002 I think. That IS horribly injury prone.
Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.
10/28--The Koolaid buzz is beginning to wear off. Maybe drop this back to my original thoughts on the year. Chiefs go 6-10 (and that my be optimistic!). LJ gets a restraining order to stay 1400 yards away from the Chiefs. I'll let the rest stand for now.

I don't usually make this argument...
but, he did sit on the waiver wire for 7 MONTHS before the Pats signed him in September… now he’s been cut 2 months later…
not sure what is wrong w/ him
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

Gotta be the injury...
He has been a starter on the Steelers for many years…..now all the sudden no one wants him? Something has gotta give….

RG?
Definitely would be an improvement over Goff. Then again, Haley seems to want to keep playing those hand-picked by the new regime, no matter how bad they suck.
Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

That is true...
So who knows what will happen.

When it comes to aging OLinemen coming off major knee injuries
I don’t think there’s such a thing as a diamond in the rough.

Bad, bad, bad injury.
Achilles tendon injuries can be really, really bad.
My dad tore his about 10 years ago, and needed surgery. Never been quite the same since.
It's years like this that I wish I was a bear. Hibernation would make it so much easier.

I voted "no"
But of course I’m not a physician, and I haven’t administered a physical exam to the fellow. My guess is he wouldn’t be a big contribution, but at least give him a physical and then perhaps an audition.
