How are the Chiefs going to do this weekend? Will they win? Lose? Make your predictions in the poll attached to this post and we will find out the general mindset of the KC Chiefs Fan.
My prediction is 27-24, Jacksonville. I think the Kansas City Chiefs offense will do a little bit better in this game. However, it will not be enough.

this is just the kind of game KC can win...
they are coming off of a bye and a loss… and a LJ
Jacksonville is a marginally better team, but surely beatable (in the category of Dallas, when KC played them)
People are down on the coaching, players, etc.
Seems to me like a good time to “buy low” on KC.
I guessed 24-10, though I am a contrarian :)

I don't think Jacksonville is as good as Dallas
And my opinion of Dallas’ QB is not very high

agreed... therefore, the Chiefs have a good chance to win if they execute

They are more like Washington
@ Indianapolis Colts (7-0) loss 12 – 14
Arizona Cardinals (4-3) loss 17 – 31
@ Houston Texans (5-3) win 31 – 24
Tennessee Titans (1-6) win 37 – 17
@ Seattle Seahawks (2-5) loss 0 – 41
St. Louis Rams (1-7) win 23 – 20
@ Tennessee Titans (1-6) loss 13 – 30
They only have one win against a team with a winning record (a very up and down Houston team). The were beat by a previously winless team, and a one win team.

Looking forward to seeing Charles run and the team coming off a bye week!
MJD does worry me a little, but we’ll see how it goes! Pumped up as with every game this year!

I could see this being a high scoring game
Both teams have terrible defenses and can’t get after the QB. This is the perfect game for KC to try to get their offense going.
If they can slow down Drew and Sims-Walker they have a chance.

I took the Jags, being a realist, fairly high scoring on both sides ...
both teams are inept, thus far the Chiefs have shown more ineptitude than J-Ville, yes it’s a game KC could win, depending on a number of factors (not that the Jags are nearly as good as Dallas, but it would nice if they fumbled the ball to us a few to several times)

I think..................
We win by 10. But MJD goes for 190+ yards..
Bowe two touchdowns.. Charles one.. And our d creates a turnover.
GO Chiefs!.

That's kind of what I was thinking...
MJD will break a couple of long TDs, but other than that we keep him in check, so his total yards will look gaudy, statistically better than the day he has. Garrard is more of a running threat than passing, containing Tory Holt is the key. Let’s hope we don’t make their Tight End look like a fantasy stud, like we’ve done with other no-name Tight Ends this year.
On KC side, Matt Cassel will have ALL DAY to throw, and he can be leathal when he has enough time to throw, and I hope that Charles puts on such a great show that NOBODY can make the statement that LJ is the best RB on the team and have any credibility! I also think Lance Long and Chris Chambers will each have 3-4 catches for 50-70 yards and one of them scores a TD.

Speaking of Fantasy..
I snaked JC off waivers and am starting him this week. I have the Chiefs defense and because the Vikings are on a bye, am forced to use them too. My other dilemma is in the WR category. My 3rd wideout is Miles Austin and until he stops performing, I refuse to put him on the pine. The other two WRs are Bowe and Sims-Walker. I’ve got Bowe in there right now, but am still up in the air. Thoughts on who will outperform the other?
Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

Flowers on Holt, Carr on Sims-Walker
JAX CB’s are hurt, and they have no pash rush, I’m thinking Bowe has the bigger upside.

Jags CBs
Actually, no they are healthy. Mathis is back and practiced in full all this week and will play Sunday. The only other injury is to a mainly ST corner, Scott Starks. Starks isn’t a huge loss by any stretch. They’re healthy on the back end.
Jacksonville Jaguars. It's what I do.

Can they cover Bowe?

by cpa913 on Nov 7, 2009 12:32 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Yes.
The coverage isn’t the issue on defense. Cassel may find himself with time in the pocket that other defenses have not afforded him. That time could allow Bowe to break away from the cornerback.
Jacksonville Jaguars. It's what I do.

Chiefs have to win this game or we could go 2-14 again..

Chiefs can win this game
and still go 2-14
But I think we win 4-5 when it’s all said and done!

Oakland would be a good win.. But, idk.. We’re the better team but idk.. Its a toughy!

I said we will win 4-5 more
Jacksonville
Cleveland
Buffalo
Oakland

Pittsburgh
Denver
Cincinnati
Any of those teams could have a bad week

I hope we whomp up on the Steelers
I work with a Steelers fan. He rightfully gets to badmouth the Chiefs as much as he wants, and does so liberally. If KC wins that game, he might need to find a new job, cause I’ll dog him for the rest of his tenure here.

Chiefs
152-3.
All kidding aside, MJD is Jacksonville’s only real upside. If we can (crossing fingers) stop him a time or two like we did Portis, we have a real shot at this thing.

MJD and Simms-Walker scare me
I think both will have huge days especially with the secondary being as banged up as it is.
27-17 Jags
by Daytrip65 on Nov 6, 2009 11:56 AM CST reply actions 1 recs
If the Jags
can just get a little pressure on Cassel we are done. We have to out score these guys. With a completely new secondary we will be vulnerable to the pass. We have to stop the running game so expect the jags to mix it up and kick our ass.
by choirboy on Nov 6, 2009 12:01 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
You're making too much out of the secondary
It’s much easier for a corner to play safety than it is for a safety to play corner. We’ll be OK in the secondary. Besides, they are going to force it to MJD, and Garrard isn’t allowed to audible out of the plays, even when there’s 8 men in the box.

If it weren't for MJD, I think we would win.
He will set a rushing record (as many RB’s do agains us), control the clock, and J-ville wins big. Tried to convince myself our offense would score, but I’m not sure they can score against anyone. Another frustrating day of dropped passes, negative plays, and a Cassle beatdown. We put 8 men in the box and our backup to our backup safteties miss tackle after tackle. Long day.
Jags 31 Chiefs 6.
I remember Dawson to Taylor, Kenney to Carson, and Blackledge catching the snap in his facemask. Seen it all...

Other times win the opponent's coach faces fan comments to fire him -
Washington – KC gets first win
Dallas – KC ties the score and easily could have gotten the win by going for two, or by Mike Goff looking at the defense and not allowing the FG Block

i think we will win
we’ve have two solid weeks to prepare for this game and you KNOW haley is engraving the game plan and right mentality into their heads over and over again. i mean im sure hes nuts with 1 week of game planning i cant imagine how he’d be with two. i think that even with the LJ distraction, no mcgraw, no page, but albert coming back, we will win this game. We have arleady proved we can win on the road. who will the difference maker for this game be? who else? SUCCOP.

because we always do and it will be in heartbreaking fashion. 27-20 loss. Would love to be wrong.
Bowe and Wade FTW.

We are a very unpredictable team
If the good Jags shows up: 28-14 (Jaguars)
if the bad Jaguars will show up; the chiefs have a very good chance to have a surpise win.
I voted for a close 23-20 jaguars win. I hope it will be a very good match; and let the better team win(if that is the Chiefs I’m OK with that)

20 -17 Chiefs
as I see Jacksonville getting a garbage time TD even though the game has been decided much earlier by the dominant rushing of Jamaal Charles & the pin-point short yardage time-consuming aerial attack!
