Nostradamus of Arrowhead Pride Pt. 8.9 (DOUBLE A EDITION)
Leafdamus has return to you to deliver the wisdom that he holds. Week 9 is upon us and you seek to understand that which eludes you. Will the Chiefs bounce back after a humiliating home lose to the product of Zeus's left hand just before the Bye Week? Fear not Leafdamus has this answer and the answers to all your NFL week 9 questions. If Leafdamus' brand of truth is not to your liking, feel free to the lies of others. It's you money, what does Leafdamus care.
Unfortunately, due to reasons Leafdamus wishes not to divulge mainly because he wishes not to take credit for preventing the utter collapse of the known universe, it was impossible to bring you his knowledge of last week. Safe to say Leafdamus saw the truth, as he always does. Yes, yes, like he always does. Because Leafdamus was unable to enlighten you last week, his friend Ashley will definitely enlighten you this week.....twice.
The number of brave souls willing to dive into the unknown continues to grow. Week seven saw our largest group to date as well as the return of some of those thought to be lost to the void. Welcome back brothers. Leafdamus' alter ego still is still incompetent when it comes to computers so Week 7's results show only who participated. All others are still kept for posterity.

During Week 7's peode tripping ttownmikey accused Leafdamus of having a dirty crystal ball. This is utter garbage as Leafdamus does not use a crystal ball. Crystal balls are for gypsy winches trying to steal your money. Leafdamus will admit that some information was missed. Staring at Ashley's areola while is a mescaline induced stupor will do that.
Week 7 was by far our most inspired week, as only one was unable to ubtain the 60% mark with 63% of us just missing the 70% mark. Only two of us achieved that greatness. Due to fact that chiefsandcigars was closer to KC that week he edges out new comer Bolan21 and became only the second returning member to accomplish this. Coming back to our only failing member from Week 7, 51CMaysStays' inability to reach the 60% in a week that the gods were obviously favoring us shows us his true nature as a false prophet. Leafdamus is feeling compassionate this week, so find a new supplier my friend or you may be the next gift to our gods.

For those who still haven't yet want to attempt to prove their connection to the gods is greater, feel free to be embarrassed and then ridiculed. The rules are simple. Look into your crystal ball, play Tarot, smoke some peode, or sacrifice the Brett Farve goat to the gods for some inspiration then pick who you think is going to win this week. and to make sure your connection to the Almighty is authentic you have to actually predict the score of the Chiefs game. The vail has dropped and no longer can you peer in to the unknown and predict the AFC/NFC Champs and the winner of the SB. From no on only weekly games will be known to you. Any predictions for the Championship games will be view as false. You can join in at any time but will not get credit for games already played. May the gods find your sacrifice to be unacceptable and they send a thousand and one plagues your way.

Not sure Philly's secondary will have an answer to Dallas's weapons.
And I hate Dallas. But I can also see Dallas giving McNabb more problems than McNabb can handle.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

wow mills!
Normally I pay a lot of attention to what you say but I might have to start doing so with a grain of salt if you really think that Miami will beat New England at New England. Belichick has that new snow blower machine that they hook up whenever warm weather teams are coming in.
I can almost see Houston beating Indy after the news that Sanders is out again though! :)

I had a lot of trouble with the Houston game.
Part of me thinks that Houston will win, but I just can’t see Peyton/Indy having two bad games in a row. Probably because i’m still suffering from what they did to us in the playoffs after Jacksonville beat the hell out of them the previous week… Son of a b*tch!!!

That's good stuff, Leaf. I'll try my hand at it.
Washington at Atlanta – Atl, pick your poison. Ryan and Roddy starting to blow up. Turner came through in a big way vs the Saints, and I dont expect him to slow down this week. The Skins are terrible. This is really a no-brainer.
Arizona at Chicago – Ari, on defense alone. Cutler has THE worst decision-making, especially in the redzone. Expect that speedy Arizona defense to fly to the ball and force some turnovers.
Baltimore at Cincinnati – B-More.. There will be no repeat of Benson running all over the Ravens. Ray Rice is the star of this one.
Houston at Indianapolis – Indy.. I refuse to bet against Peyton, esPECIally against a porous Texans secondary. Look for Bernard Pollard to get abused.
Miami at New England – NE.. MIA may throw out a new wrinkle in the wildcat in Pat White, but I don’t expect it to be enough. The Hoodie aint fallin for that shit again.
Green Bay at Tampa Bay – GB.. The Buccs are just awful right now. Nuff said.
Carolina at New Orleans – NO.. That whole team is just too much. They have won with defense, special teams, Brees’ arm, his feet when that wasn’t working, on the ground.. This is THE best team in football right now.
Detroit at Seattle – Sea.. Detroit’s offense goes through Megatron. He’s been limited all week in practice and I dont expect to come out 100%, plus he and Stafford have missed some time. Expect them to have more than a few miscues.
Tennessee at San Francisco – SF.. I’m not sold on the Titans yet after dropping 6 straight. SF lost two close ones to the Texans and Indy, and are looking to bounce back this week. The O runs through Gore, but lately they’ve been able to air it out when they need to with the emergence of Crabtree and Vernon Davis. SF is quickly becoming a complete team.
San Diego at New York Giants – NY.. The G-Men run the ball and keep Rivers off the field in this one. Without their starting NT, the Chargers have been getting lit up by the run. I see NY grinding it out with a whole lot of ground n pound this week, and their defense finally shows up. This one is going to be physical.
Dallas at Philadelphia – Dal.. Honestly, this is a toss-up. Philly will be high off a big win, and may not see Romo’s 8 TDs and 0 Ints in his last 3 games coming. Philly has been terrible vs. TEs — expect Witten to be the difference maker here.
Pittsburgh at Denver – Pit.. Much like the Murderous Ravens, Blitzburg is not going to let up on ol’ Neckbeard and will be in his eye all day. The run game will not be a factor for either team here, and Pit will win the turnover battle and will get the big plays.
Kansas City at Jacksonville – KC 23-17 (crosses his fingers)

This game will be very telling of the Haley era...
Is he the type of coach who truly takes advantage of an offweek? We’ll see, personally I think the Jags have a more talented roster, and probably have a few more stars (or at least potential stars). But that doesn’t mean that I don’t think the Chiefs have a shot to pull it off… Especially since Haley could be the type of coach that really shines during the bye. So Logic and Reasoning tells me we lose a close one, a game that we could potentially win. But my heart tells me that Cassel gets his first 4th quarter come from behind win, when we really exploit their sub-par secondary. Also the Chiefs defense is due to force some turnovers, the offense has done a really good job protecting the ball, but the defense hasn’t been getting the ball much.
This space for rent.

No, I dont.
But there is something to be said about a team that lets Fatman Russell complete a 9-play 69-yrd drive in the 4th quater.

Washington at Atlanta – Atl wins big.
Arizona at Chicago – Arizona gets back to work. Cutler misses Denver

Green Bay at Tampa Bay – GB wins thanks to huge day by Grant
Carolina at New Orleans – “NO” way the saints lose….see what i did there?
Detroit at Seattle – Det wins now that Megatron is back
Tennessee at San Francisco – SF and Crabtree has big day and first TD
San Diego at New York Giants – Chargers….but they still suck
Dallas at Philadelphia – Dallas has been clicking
Pittsburgh at Denver – Denver squeaks it out
Kansas City at Jacksonville – Jacksonville (31-23)
JAX TDs: Sims Walker (1), MJD (2)
KC TDs: Charles (1), Wade (1)
