Question of the day.
I know a lot of us are a little hot and heated about haley and some of the torches are getting lit and the pitch forks are getting sharpend. haahah . And I dont blame any of you guys I to want to win just as bad as anyone. God knows my heart can only take so much punishment and heart break from watching our chiefs.
And I have to be honest I am enjoying the fire that Haley brings maybe cause im old school I believe in strict coaching , screaming in the face but also knowing when to back off and acknowledge good play soo far I have seen haley do both. I like haley and I pray he can take us to the next level.
The question of the day .
IF BILL COWER MAKES HIMSELF AVAILABLE TO COME BACK AND COACH NEXT YEAR DO WE MAKE THE MOVE TO GET HIM ? AND FIRE TODD HALEY .

Bill is an excellent coach, But would not do any better with the talent of this team.
Would find himself in the same position as Haley, thus no great upgrade without the talent to make it happen. If Haley got the talent then the records would be similiar.
Just my opinion
Geaux Chiefs
We Will kick at least 4 Teams Asses in 09
And Succop will be the Key in two of them.

I voted no...
And only purely because its very rare that a coach has extended success after an initial run. Even Bill Parcells never won another Super Bowl after leaving the Giants. I read somewhere that the winning percentage of a coach goes down after his first 10 years. So what if Haley turns out to be a good coach and we do to him what Oakland did to Shanahan, especially since more than likely Cowher is past his prime as a head coach.

I abstain
We’re at a critical junction in Haley’s first year as HC. If he can show some humility, temper his attitude and show some solidarity with his players and guide the team to some improvement, I’ll say wait and see, If he’s willing to hire and work with an OC in the very early off-season, I’ll say give him a chance. If he comes off the bye week and stinks it up and acts a’fool, I say fuck’m. Bring on the chin!

I did too
I like Bill alot, and he would be a great addition back at Defensive Coordinator, but he’d never come back to do that. IMO, there’s so much instability in just about every position and in the team dynamics, it’s going to take awhile for the Chiefs to gel being coached by anyone…

There is no way Pioli would bring in a coach that would require as much control as Cowher will want
After all, thats the whole reason he left New England, to get out of a great coaches shadow and prove he can do it on his own.
Bringing in Cowher or Shanahan or anybody like that would not only force him to give up some control. If he wanted that, why wouldn’t he just stay in New England where he was winning Super Bowls and going undefeated?

Did he really require all that much control in Pittsburgh?
Seems like that entire organization did it right and everyone had their place… including the coach.

He doesn't coach in Pittsburg anymore
Every coach wants control over what players they and wants to be the guy that makes the final decisions. Cowher has the name and history to be able to get that.
He isn’t going to sit in the corner and be Pioli’s yes man.

I hate to see us struggle like everyone else, but one of the biggest reasons why we are struggling is a lack of continuity. Haley is making some mistakes, and he does need an OC and a new DC. But I think with the proper staff, he will get this team turned around. Give him his three years and if he doesn’t cut it, then I’m all for a change…….

I say yes.
Heres how i look at it. Lets say we spend a 2nd round pick on a running, and everyones excited about him him etc etc. then all of a sudden Adrian Peterson becomes available. Bill cower is like adrian peterson in this analogy. and i say to hell with it, lets get him

I actually think we would be doing better at this point...
BUT it would not be advantageous for the future…Haley will learn the ropes and become a great coach for a long time.

I was kinda hoping this was another mock draft....
oh well, but I think if bill cowher showed interest on his own that maybe we find a position for him… but what’s the likelyhood of that

It would cause more harm than good at this point. It takes time to bring in a new system and to get the personnel to run it, normally it takes a couple of seasons. Seasons Haley hasn’t had yet, and seasons that Cower would need to get where we want to be. The Chiefs have just changed direction for the forth or fifth time in the last 10 years, we owe it to ourselves to see if that is the right direction before we just up and pull a U-turn and start all over again. 3 Years is what I’ve said from the beginning unless each season is worse than the one before it, as in what happened with Herm. Give Haley time to get the system and the people to run it before you make wholesale changes.
is it me? or isn't about time the Lamar Hunt trophy belonged to His team?

I too didn't vote because I don't think either politician will live up to their promises!
I mean WIIILLLL Cowher fight for universal healthcare? Willllllll Haley stop benching our star players if they promise to hold on to “his” football…enquiring minds want to know.

Moot point....
Looking more and more like Fox will finally be done in Carolina. Much more likely Cowher would coach in his home region than in KC.
