Considering Connor Barth is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers third kicker this season, it's probably good he's already got a backup plan.

Barth, 23, said he just finished getting his insurance license before the Bucs called, pointing out how short NFL careers can be, "you never know how long this is going to last."

But Barth hopes he can stick with the Bucs, saying he learned from his experience with the Chiefs last season (going 10-for-12 in his first full pro season). The Bucs have made just two field goals in seven tries this season.

Hope their punter takes the kickoffs

Homie killed us in field position last year.

Chiefs will be lucky to go 4-12 in 2010

Well Barth has to be better than 2/7 like the Bucs have had this year. I think they’ll take average kickoffs to actually get some points from field goals.

I always like seeing former Cheifs do well, so good luck to him in Tampa.

Good Luck with Connor

I like the dude. I hope he does well. Like was said above, he sucks at kick-offs but he proved pretty reliable inside 40 yds…

I Think He's Got A Job

2-7? That’s pathetic. Barth can definitely exceed that.

Best of luck to the kid, though.

Predictions for 2009

1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.
6. The Chiefs will go 7-9 in 2009, good for 2nd in the AFC West. Revision: We go 5-11 and finish behind Oakland.
7. Ryan Succop will not perform better in 2009 than Connor Barth did in 2008.
8. The Chiefs will have a bottom 10 defense this year.
9. RB will be a problem area this season on offense.
