Limerick Pay back

Hey guys MHR has a Fanpost up with Limericks mocking the Chiefs and I thought it would be fun to get back at them with our very own. All in good fun that is.

http://www.milehighreport.com/2009/11/30/1178726/the-dude-abides-its-limerick-time

Im not very good at these things so Im not even going to try but our very own Craig from Calgary had a pretty funny one:

There once was a Bronco team that I feared
But now they are lead by a QB with a neck beard
His throws have no spunk
and his #1 WR is a punk
That being said if the Chiefs win this weekend it’ll be weird.

Lets see what you guys got!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

lol, you guys are fun.

Nobody else has done a limerick war with MHR before. Classic. Now EVERYONE will want to trash talk with limericks. HAHAHA

If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

You're on to something here.

If MHR and AP get a limerick war going, and BFTB and whatever the Raiders’ blog is (Silver and Black something or other) catch on, we could get this going on each team blog. It’d be funny as hell.

November 22nd 2009: Chiefs win in OT vs the Steelers 27-24. This could be the turning point for the Chiefs to get back to being respected.

Go for it. I've never been around a more clever or funny way of trash talking.

At first, I thought “really, this is kinda dumb.” But when there is lots of participation, it is awesome.

If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

This is something only The Dude could force to catch on.

We’ve been doing it all year(only when playing AFC West opponents though).

I think the best one’s came out back in Week 6 when we played the Chargers…hilarious stuff.

I am a simpleton, so here is the one I did over at MHR.

The House of Horrors we do fear
Until the Chiefs power dissappear
    Their greatness of Arrowhead
    Becomes the remembered dead
Victory is what they shall never hear

Broncos 20, Chiefs 10….I hope. Win #14 in the last FIFTY YEARS.

I can't discount that...

Arrowhead stadium is a house of horrors for the Broncos…….Only 13 wins in 50 years…..

I’m hoping and praying for 20-10…

unfortunately Arrowhead isnt anything like it used to be...

I think this year you have a lot bigger chance at winning here than you have in most of the past years.

by tomahawk44 on Nov 30, 2009 3:10 PM CST up reply actions

Uhhh...

when you guys went 1-15 a couple years ago…didn’t that one win come against the Broncos in Arrowhead? lmao

we went 1-15? lol

are you talking about our 2-14 year last year ? or 4-12 the year before?

by tomahawk44 on Dec 1, 2009 3:59 PM CST up reply actions

There once was a man from Nantucket...no wait a minute.

The Broncos started off at six and oh
After each week their heads sure did grow
Now they know they are not what they thought
So they come to Arrowhead to see what they got
But everyone here on AP already know that they really do blow

Chiefs 20 and Broncos 14.

by Helmets on Nov 30, 2009 3:07 PM CST reply actions

Horses or Donkeys no one would fear,
listening to the Chiefs win is all we will hear!
“65 toss power trap” aint so dead yet,
watching Charles run is a good bet!
Losing the division again is the Bronco way each year!!!

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!

I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

Whoa is the life of a Mule
Your star WR is such a tool
Your destinned to suck
And stay stuck in the muck

Ghosts of shanny and elway and davis haunted me,
all those years the donkey fans taunted me.
But now it’s mcdaniels and orton and marshall,
and although my opions are rather partial,
I’ll take my pioli and haley
and drink their kool-aid in daily.
As AP unleashes the PARADEBULATION
I know in my heart that this is only the start
of a coming Superbowl celebUration.

These things kinda come easy to me...

Especially when it’s such an easy target as the Broncos.

I know that you're afraid... you're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin.

Boom, it's on

The Bronco’s are coming to town
But they’ll leave with a bruise and a frown
Cuz Jamaal and the crew
Are gonna put it on you
You’ll be drag ass’in back home like a houn!

by Spunky on Nov 30, 2009 4:54 PM CST reply actions

we’re all laughing at McDaniels flapping his mouth
good thing he talked while his season went South
the donkey fans all think that they’re god’s gift to man
and that the broncos will win because Josh is the man
but those of us with sanity know that the trash talk’s a tease
in the end all they’ll be left with is a choke and a “Child, please”.

by Keyser Sose on Nov 30, 2009 5:21 PM CST reply actions

The offseason tiffs with the coach
Led us to believe you’d be toast
But your opening streak
Went on for six weeks
The new streak we’ll be glad to encroach

First attempt here. I'd be happy if we stole this from MHR and did it each week with our opponents. Raiders will be fun

Prepare for your first dose of Jamaal
The Steelers couldn’t stop him at all
What makes you think,
With your D in a stink
That Mr. Charles won’t get the game ball?

GO CHIEFS!!!!!

Love Triangle:

While the Raiders I do love to hate
The Donkeys are fun to berate
‘Cause since Elway’s been gone,
each season they bomb
And each off season it’s back to the slate.

Our success hasn’t been that great either.
Although our new managemant does have us eager
to return to the fame
of winning most games
Until then on games I’ll not wager.

Ok, enough already

The Chiefs be great in December
Have been for as long as I can Remember
How hath they do in January?
When Arrowhead becomes a cemetery
This time the Broncos will dismember

Think what you will about Cassel
’Cause your secondary he will hassle
And come Sunday night
The Chiefs will celebrate right
With stippers wearing nothing but tassles!

Please don’t speak poor of Haley
If you do, he might eat your baby
On the sideline he’ll cuss
And raise a huge fuss

This is fun, but we ought to try a Haiku war sometime. I’m a lot better at Haiku :-)

Maybe we should just make it a poetry war in general.

I suck at Haiku, but Limericks come pretty naturally to me.

True. Maybe next time we can just do "poetry wars" like RNGB said.

Free verse, Haiku, Limericks, ballads, quatrains, blank verse, It is all fair game. Final week of the regular season throwdown. It is on!!!!

we hate silver, black and powder blue.

No Dread,

‘It’ Tomahawk must be said,
Your challenge we need not dread.
Though now it is late,
Your team knows its fate,
Say, “Nighty-Nite” just go to bed.

Fore I now give you goodnight..
and hope you don’t take it light.
some think us as new
Look!! Orange and Blue!
The bad Broncs have entered the fight..

Funny all KC fans, thinking they have a chance…………..funny them…………….

I used to think the Broncos had some awesome chant at their games.

It sounded like the whole crowd was saying “Beat the Chiefs” but then I realized that it happened after every incomplete pass, and they really just love their “in-com-PLEETEs” more than we love 1st downs, safeties, interceptions and touchdowns combined.

Am I the only one that finds that odd?

This limerick is dedicated to one of my favorite personnel moves of all time

Shanny thought Dale was a rotter,
And used him as locker room fodder.
But when Dale was free,
Shanny slapped down his fee,
See you can lead a Donk coach to Carter!

Thanks, Shanahan – you vilified Dale for years and then grabbed him when he and his fast eroding ability became available, destroying your own locker room in the process. It seems like Schlereth brings it up at least 3 or 4 times every season on ESPN.
