Chargers Continue To Embarrass the Chiefs

It's officially a blowout.  The San Diego Chargers forced an intentional grounding call in the end zone for Matt Cassel, which resulted in a safety.

The score is 40-14 Chargers.

Jamaal Charles is looking very good for the Chiefs (except for the fumble) and Chris Chambers has a touchdown reception but those are about the only positives so far.

Philip Rivers is lighting up the Chiefs defense.  Malcolm Floyd has 85 yards while Antonio Gates leads all receivers with 118 yards.

I'm pretty sure we have a big part in that

Hard to credit the Dolts for the bad snaps. Or the tipped INT. Or the fumble by Cassel.

What game did you watch?

The offense is the reason for the embarrassment

Predictions for 2009:

The Chiefs will regret cutting LJ

Bowe's numbers regress due to lack of decent QB play.

The D gets better in the second half but still is plagued by big plays

Cassel looks more like the guy Pioli almost cut in the '08 preseason instead of the franchise QB he hoped he would be when he traded him for

But we actually had some offense against a pretty good D

That’s what Haley needs to focus on this week. Along with the shotgun snap.

I'm not going to argue that point

Just that when we do have the ball we seem to be able to move it. Unfortunately we also seem to put it on the ground a lot.

Thanks for keeping this website work appropriate...

…(sarcasm)

I mean no disrespect, but those who have to work (especially on game days) may want to visit this site to see what is going on with their team. The same goes for people who may have families with younger children, or people who are just plain offended by this kind of stuff. I am not trying to be a hard ass, but this is a recurring problem, especially in the gameday threads.

There are other places where you can share these pictures. I know it is not my place to tell you what is appropriate to post, but I don’t think those that worked hard to get this site to where it is today want it to turn into a softcore porn site.

That is Scarlett Johansson

Equating that to porn is a leap in logic and creates a false argument.

Actually, it is

Images containing women covering their naked breasts or vaginas DOES constitute softcore pornography. In this picture she is covering her vagina. In a picture below posted by the same poster, she is covering her breast. In the picture even further up, her breast is partially exposed.

The point being: people come here to talk Chiefs football, not masturbate. There are PLENTY of other places on the internet where you can show of your porn collection. I didn’t consider AP one of them, but now I know better.

Winning last week didn't suddenly make us a great team

Or even a good team. We have a very very long way to go. ALL teams have miscues like this, but good teams play their way out of it. Focus on the positives. Despite the fumble, Charles looks very solid, and Chambers is still good.

Too many mistakes, which sucks, but that’s what happens to bad teams. It is OK to be a fan for a bad team, and it doesn’t last forever. Hopefully we have far less mistakes next week.

In wondrous beauty, once again, shall the golden tables stand mid the grass, which the gods had owned in the days of old.
