Chris left Kansas City at about 4:00 AM for the 11 hour drive back to Austin, TX so he will be late to the party (and because I'm the only one in the family that makes great time on long road trips).

Will the Chiefs make it three in a row today?  That would be what's called a winning streak (according to manager Lou Brown in the movie Major League).

My prediction is 24-21 Chiefs.

GOOOO CHIEFS!!!!!!

A win, and we can get back into playoff contention.

Predictions for 2009:

The Chiefs will regret cutting LJ

Bowe's numbers regress due to lack of decent QB play.

The D gets better in the second half but still is plagued by big plays

Cassel looks more like the guy Pioli almost cut in the '08 preseason instead of the franchise QB he hoped he would be when he traded him for

Chiefs 3-13

The Chiefs will regret cutting LJ

Bowe's numbers regress due to lack of decent QB play.

The D gets better in the second half but still is plagued by big plays

Cassel looks more like the guy Pioli almost cut in the '08 preseason instead of the franchise QB he hoped he would be when he traded him for

2.7 update

I don’t know if any of you saw the game, but 2.7’s play is going to be overrated. He played a lot because Scott got banged up a little. He did OK, but he’s definitely not what he once was, or what Charles is now. He did have a couple of classic 2.7 plays. There was a running play with a HUGE hole and no defenders. He managed to get 8 yards on it. Any decent back would have taken it for at least 20. He also had a classic 2.7 ole block on one of the only 3rd down passing plays he was in on. Fortunately it was a 3 step drop or Palmer would have been toast.

So don’t believe the 2.7 hype coming out of this game. It was nothing special.
