Arrowheadlines: Chiefs News 11/26
Good morning everyone. NJ Chiefs Fan is traveling over the holidays so this is my pathetic attempt at doing Arrowheadlines as comprehensive as him.
Kansas City Chiefs - Insider Blog: Turkey Day Turnback
All is quiet this Thanksgiving Day at One Arrowhead Drive. Just like you, the Chiefs are enjoying a holiday away from the office with good company and a little turkey and football sprinkled in between. The Chiefs worked through their regularly scheduled Tuesday off-day in order to free up their time to spend Thanksgiving Day with others.

Still, about 3,500 tickets remain for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs to be considered a sellout. If those tickets are not sold by today (or, more likely, tomorrow) at 1:05 p.m., a Chargers regular-season game will not be on local TV for the first time since Nov. 7, 2004. "Waiting and seeing," is all Chargers COO Jim Steeg would say yesterday.

When San Diego hosts the Chiefs on Sunday, it will look to continue its push for a fourth consecutive division title. The Chargers try to win their sixth straight overall and fifth in a row over Kansas City, which is attempting to notch three consecutive victories for the first time in three years.

Coach Todd Haley said that Leggett, who also was placed on IR in 2008 and needed offseason surgery to repair a shoulder injury, would require more surgery. Leggett suffered the injury in Sunday’s win against Pittsburgh. "This will be a setback, obviously, and one you never want to see," Haley said. "I think he’ll put everything into it to get back."
Chiefs’ Chambers out to prove Chargers made a mistake in letting him go - KansasCity.com
Yet Chambers, a standout at wide receiver since joining the Chiefs early this month, said he is still troubled by the way his time with the Chargers ended. He said that will help motivate him Sunday when the Chiefs play the Chargers in San Diego. "I have a chip on my shoulder just from leaving there, to tell you the truth," Chambers said. "I’m going to go out and play the best game I possibly can, and hopefully I’ll be able to make some plays. I’m sure it will have some emotion involved in it."

They call it the Not For Long League and have for years. Why? Just consider some of the situations we’ve seen in this 2009 NFL season. A month ago, Denver coach Josh McDaniels was the NFL’s boy wonder. After a disruptive off-season, the Broncos looked like they were headed for a long, long season. But after six games, Denver was 6-0 and McDaniels was being hailed as brilliant young coaching genius. QB Kyle Orton (left) was hailed for his play. Thanksgiving night, the Broncos will play the New York Giants. McDaniels is no longer the brightest star in the coaching sky. His team is 6-4 and now in second place in the AFC West.

...then we play them in Arrowhead and drop them to 6 in a row.
