5-10
picks 5-9 are all 3-7 right now.
The bottom 4 teams may be solidifying their stock, but I could see KC picking anywhere from 5-10
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
* Stats are for losers

Good Spot
Getting either 7,8, or 9 pick would be the best I think. Staying out of the top 5 (too much $$$), but still getting top tier talent. Don’t get me wrong though, I would love to see us get about 4 or 5 more wins and get in the teens some where.

i think being 6-9 would be great...
that would allow us to move down and pick up some extra picks…but i would rather get some more wins if i had to pick. looking at the people in front of us…there r a lot of teams that could be looking for qb’s. there could be a lot of talent that falls to us if that is the case with us staying at 9.

Not sure a QB goes in the top 4
Right now, if it was
Detroit – Stafford Rd1-09 starting to look good
Tampa Bay – Freeman Rd1-09 way to early to draft another QB in the first round
Cleveland – Quinn Rd1-07 had a 133 rating against Detroit last week.
and then St.Louis – Bulger is 32 not young but not old and only 3 years removed from his 4,000 yard season (2006).

StL should draft a QB for sure
Bulger is all but done there…
he just broke his leg, but was probably on his way out anyway

And I don't think Cleveland is sold on B. Quinn.
At least Mangini isn’t. So that may depend on if Mangini is still there next season

Quinn posted those #'s against Detroit
Look for Seattle, Washington, Cleveland, St. Louis to draft a QB. Raiders the pick is either a QB or Mays, I’m guessing Al Davis gives Russel one more year, so I’m thinking Mays. Buffalo and Detroit will grab Williams and Okung. Tampa could Go Berry, Suh, or McCoy. We’re probably going to have a top 5 talent fall to us.
Jax will probably try to Jump ahead of the redskins in the draft to grab Tebow, giving up their first, second, and next years first and a player or two. That’d be 4-6 QB’s in the first 8 picks, I’m hoping they use Tampa for a trading partner.

Why does that page have Denver at 4-6?
November 22nd 2009: Chiefs win in OT vs the Steelers 27-24. This could be the turning point for the Chiefs to get back to being respected.

It's Chicago's pick from the Cutler trade?

yep, Chicago is 4-6

I'll push for Gerhart all the way to the draft!!!
If we can pick up some OL talent in free agency Toby is the type of player to make defenses avoid hitting or being hit by the fourth quarter. The kid runs violent.

Rough sketch
1. Cleveland Browns – 1-9 (.531) – Clausen QB
2. St. Louis Rams – 1-9 (.544) – Locker QB
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 1-9 (.550) – Suh DT (Jax trades up here for Tebow?)
4. Detroit Lions – 2-8 (.531) – Okung OT (Jax trades up here for Tebow?)
5. Seattle Seahawks – 3-7 (.488) – Bradford QB
6. Washington Redskins – 3-7 (.500) – McCoy QB (Tebow?)
7. Buffalo Bills – 3-7 (.506) – Williams OT
8. Oakland Raiders – 3-7 (.513) – Mays S (or another QB?)
9. Kansas City Chiefs – 3-7 (.513)
There’s every reason for believing Gerald McCoy, Suh, or Berry could fall this far. Will Jax stand pat or trade up to reach for theirs because they’re afraid Washington or Oakland will reach for him? I think Jax should just move to L.A. and take BPA in the 20’s.
There’s a lot KC can do to control what happens before we pick in the first round to take whoever we want.

You're high
if you think Jimmy Clausen is going #1 overall.
Bask in the glory that is Kwame Harris. Poor Alex...

Clausen was a name thrown in there, it could have been Bradford, it could have been Locker.

that would be a pretty crazy draft...
but each of those teams could take a qb.

Tampa? Detroit? KC?

I thought I replied here earlier
1. Cleveland Browns – 1-9 (.531) – Clausen QB
Look at Clevelands offense this season, Mangini isn’t too high on Anderson or Quinn, and the whole offense is in disarray. Clevelands left side of the O-line is set from center to LT, they’re weak on the right side of the line but you can’t go right side of the O-line this early, and Dez Bryant isn’t really a #1 overall pick kind of guy. They go QB.
2. St. Louis Rams – 1-9 (.544) – Locker QB
Bulger is getting hurt here, and hurt there, they drafted Smith last year, Long the year before, and Carriker the year before. I think they look for Line help through free agency or trades, and draft the QB of the future.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 1-9 (.550) – Suh DT
Freeman was just taken so they have their QB of the Future, they have a LT, Can you justify taking a safety this high? I know some of you can but I can’t. McCoy, Berry, Mays are all considerations here, but I’m sure they think they can take a Safety in round 2.
Jacksonville could try to jump into this spot, Snyder and Davis make Jax’s owner nervous, he know’s they’re crazy, they may just drive him crazy and he mortgages the jags’ future to bring in a second round pick this high.
4. Detroit Lions – 2-8 (.531) – Okung OT
Stafford was just taken, they grabbed him a TE later in the first last year, he has Calvin Johnson. They give him his new best friend, Okung.
Jacksonville could try to jump into this spot, Snyder and Davis make Jax’s owner nervous, he know’s they’re crazy, they may just drive him crazy and he mortgages the jags’ future to bring in a second round pick this high.
5. Seattle Seahawks – 3-7 (.488) – Bradford QB
Left tackle is a mess but Detroit stole Okung out from under them, Matt Hasselbeck is looking less than stellar with his back problems. So they take another QB with injury concerns.
6. Washington Redskins – 3-7 (.500) – McCoy QB
Snyder is Not happy with Campbell, they made a play for Cutler, and for Sanchez. He actually replaces him this year.
7. Buffalo Bills – 3-7 (.506) – Williams OT
Traded away Jason Peters and their O-Line is in shambles, they reach for Williams hoping he is the answer.
8. Oakland Raiders – 3-7 (.513) – Mays S
It’s Al Davis………..if Davis is finally convinced Russell is a bust, Ryan Mallett QB Arkansas, if the Raiders go D-Line, Terrance Cody, even if McCoy or Suh is available.
9. Kansas City Chiefs – 3-7 (.513) – Your Guy here, Berry, Mays, Suh, McCoy, Dez Bryant?
This draft has the potential to be nuts, with 2 crazy owners, and one that will be borderline crazy over Tebow trying to put fans in the stands.
Nothing is set here and names can interchange, Clausen could be Locker or Bradford, Suh could be McCoy, the Raiders could be a 7th round pick with an amazing workout, and there’s room for loads and loads of trades at the top this year..
