Throughout the course of his decade of service with the Kansas City Chiefs, G Brian Waters has always displayed a generous heart. One example that shines through is his work with the Love Fund. Annually, Waters purchases tickets to each Chiefs home game for these youth. However, the football experience doesn’t end when the final whistle sounds. Later in the month, Waters invites these very same children from the Love Fund back to Arrowhead for a pizza party and behind-the-scenes tour. Another successful collaboration between Waters and the Love Fund was renewed earlier this week.

Awesome
One of my favorite parts of being a Chiefs fan is how active the players are in the community. Many of them seem to genuinely enjoy giving back. Thanks Brian Waters! Now if you would just stop being so generous to opposing teams with your holding! :)

this is one of the reasons
I had/have such a problem with Haley. Brian waters’ achievements and community activism are well documented. I felt like he disrespected the hell out of a guy that has given a ton to this football team and this community
Im glad to hear this...
I reall am. I hope Brian stays with us next year and decides not to retire….Thank you Brian for all you have done. :)
Waters has always been an outstanding guy...
I didn’t particularly enjoy him making it public that he was upset with Haley over not seeing him in the offseason and wanted out of KC…but things always have two sides to them. I’m sure Haley didn’t have time to personally meet with all the players and didn’t want to make an exception for Waters. On the other hand, it’s gotta be frustrating as a player who’s been in one spot for as long as he has and the players and coaches are being shoved at you through a revolving door. Additionally, from the outside looking in, it appeared that Haley treated Waters with disrespect…and I’m sure all Waters was looking for in that situation was respect…respect in that he’s a veteran and that if he wants out (as TG did), then he should be granted that favor (as TG was). I really think Waters is a stand up guy in that he has played hard all season and hasn’t publicly griped since that moment. Think about if the same situation happened to TO or Ochocinco or whomever…they would’ve held out or just not played hard all season in spite of how he was treated. Kudos to you Mr. Waters!
"Gonna gallop all over the Chiefs. Cleat prints on the chests. Mud in the face masks." - 2.7* *Yes I know it was changed to 2.9 but f*ck the statisticians.
par for the course
the NFL & the Hunts in particular have always placed a high priority on community involvement. Lots of NFL players grew up in poverty and know first-hand the importance of charity work. good on Brian.
