Let's see how good Pioli really is huh?

I mean I'm sure there's a reason he up'd Tyson Jackson in the draft like he did. He had to have known that Belichek wanted Tyson from his time in NE when they discussed that years daft right? I mean if for nothing else..to keep Jackson out of Belichek's hands and into ours. He HAD to have known, that's what he did over in NE. So I bet his other drafts are great too..Colin and Washington and whoever. Succop for sure. He's doing ok really and it remains to be seen just how good still.

I think the point is…

Several of the 2009 draft picks aren’t contributing this year (Brown, Washington, Lawrence, Williams, O’Connell)

BUT, the idea is that Pioli drafted them for a reason, and probably knew they’d be 1-2 yrs away from being starters.

Kray also had the theory that Pioli used his scouting knowledge from NE to take guys THEY would have taken, including Jackson.

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
* Stats are for losers

Couldn't this have merely been a comment in your own post instead of a FanShot?

-Erykah Badu, I have accepted your proposal. So, Mrs. DTR, let's get to consummating...you are on notice.

I think Jackson and Succop were very good picks.

I am still out on the Magee pick. If we had grabbed a Center or Guard with that pick, this offense would be much better right now. As for Brown, Washington, and the rest, those can definitely be filed under WTF were they thinking? Maybe they will pan out over time but, I don’t think the Chiefs were in much of a position to be drafting for depth. We need day one starters this year.
