Another LB possibility?
"Roth, a former second-round pick, was a starter for Miami's playoff team last season and generally considered a key part of their defense"
"Expect plenty of teams to put in a waiver claim for Roth, especially teams that run a 3-4 defense."

He was a beast at Iowa
Non stop motor type. I’d say go for it. He’d be the perfect back up for Hali.

In his fourth season in the NFL, the Dolphins last year moved Matt Roth from defensive end to outside linebacker, freeing him up to use his speed and track down quarterbacks, a la DeMarcus Ware.
Despite battling through a chronically aching groin, Roth played in all 16 games and started 14. For the season, Matt had 53 tackles, which ranked fifth on the team, and had a career high 5.0 sacks for 27 yards in losses.
What can Dolphins fans expect this year?
"A lot of sacks," Roth says. "I’m not into making predictions, but it’s going to be a lot."

Ink his ass up
It’s about time we started getting some second round talent on this team, as opposed to shipping our own off. He’d be a great addition but honestly I don’t think Piolo will sign him being as that Papa Parcells was the one cut him.

I'd take him
And… they haven’t been shy about signing guys cut by MIA/NE/AZ…. so I don’t know what that’d scare him on this one

We haven't signed a single MIA castoff
since Pioli’s been in office. We’ve traded for two, but never inked any (to my knowledge)

ok, fair enough
I can’t think of any either…
but, again, I doubt Pioli would be scared to sign a guy just because Parcells cut him

Pioli and Co. idolize Papa Parcells
if he’s deemed not good enough by Bill, I doubt Scott is going to second guess his judgement and waste his time taking a look for himself. He can get all the scouting report he needs over the dinner table. If he WAS brought in, it’s because Parcells gave him the nod and the reason for being cut was because they’re loaded @ OLB….which they essentially are.

yeah, Parcells would probably let him know the reason...
PFT says it was nagging injuries and unhappiness with a contract…
seems like a change of scenery could help with the contract issues, IF he is healthy

The Waiver wire is now in teams rank notlast years priority I think
thus we would have like 8th claim or so
We Will kick at least 4 Teams Asses in 09. Almost there :)
And Succop will be the Key in two of them. Skins & Raiders! Pittsburgh Sweet!
