Steelers Fans Upset Over Loss to Chiefs and Misbehaving Dogs
A strange story coming out of Bridgeville, PA this afternoon. Apparently, a Steelers fan was arrested on charges of animal cruelty for kicking his girlfriend's dog to death.
The reason? "Flip" wasn't behaving before the Steelers 27-24 loss to the Chiefs.
"He admitted the dog would not behave prior to the Steelers game and that he became upset at it," according to the affidavit.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports:
"William Woodson, 22, is being held on $25,000 bail in the Allegheny County Jail, pending a preliminary hearing on animal cruelty at 1 p.m. next Monday before District Judge Elaine McGraw in Bridgeville.
"The puppy, a 13-week-old pit bull named Flip, had been the focal point of recent arguments between Mr. Woodson and his girlfriend, Christine Gielarowski, 21, with whom Mr. Woodson lives on Jane Way."
It's a good thing this happened before this man's Steelers lost to the Chiefs. Imagine what this psycho would have done after Chris Chambers sealed their fate in overtime.
Consider this story one of the downsides of playing and beating a team with one of the most, ahem, passionate fans in the NFL.
Deadspin has a post up on this. Warning: It uses some colorful language probably not suited for work.

It's the affiliation with Vick in their state
that makes them hate animals.
I hate stuff like this though. I mean come on it’s a 13 week old puppy. Of course it’s going to misbehave, it doesn’t know anything.
This isn't a "kum-bye-yah" campfire! THIS IS FOOTBALL!
WTF?
Crazy bastard.
November 22nd 2009: Chiefs win in OT vs the Steelers 27-24. This could be the turning point for the Chiefs to get back to being respected.

I hope this guy goes to prison
and his cellmate stomps him to death.
This is my signature line. It is full of awesome and win.

+1—Eff this bitch.
He’s probably mad because his dog was the one who dropped coverage on Chambers.

I almost Fan-Shotted this earlier ...
I find some small bit of cosmic justice an irony in the fact that, after this asshat kicked the dog to death, his team got beat by a kick-off return and a field goal in overtime.

sad that people do this kind of stuff but
the ONLY time I would be willing to kick someone over a chiefs loss would be if Larry johnson was within kicking distance(or diaper tossing range)
Since being a Steelers fan really had anything to do with it. This guy clearly has a lack of compassion for animals and probably some deep-lying emotional issues. I am a very good dog owner and a Steelers fan. The two are completely unrelated.
Wall of Shame

-"BB is ok (slightly overated)…but he is NO Kyle Orton! I’ll take Kyle over Ben any day" - Bronco_Fan_Tom
-PIT 24 KC 27
Im not calling all Steelers fans classless...
Just this asshole in particular
I'd rather die on my feet than be living on my knees
So why wouldn’t you say “totally classless asshole”? Him being a Steelers fan is totally irrelevant.

this just in
Nfl suspends vick for two games over man kicking dog. In pitt loss. Nfl comish had this to say. Its another tragic loss of a dogs life due to poor judgement and the copy cat actions of michael vick. The nfl will suspend michael vick for any american dog beating for the simple fact someone needs to b punished.

terrible towels for terrible fans
maybe they should be him with some terrible soap
And moreover, a pit
“Yeah, those are totally dangerous dogs, you know how they always are such violent animals…”
If you BEAT a dog, he’s going to go crazy. Now the dog will prolly be all messed up. In 5 years, we’ll hear the follow-up story about a kid being mauled because some evil pit went nuts on him, and it’ll be this dog.
Sorry, major pet peeve. Sure, some dogs are predisposed to aggression, but they’re trained by people. Screw this asshole.
/off my soapbox.

Come on guys
Let’s put this in perspective. I mean if some crazy chiefs fan pulled a stunt like this we would all be on here condemning the behavior and saying that it doesn’t reflect the rest of us. So I think that calling all Steelers fans classless is a bit much. I saw a lot of steelers fans at the game yesterday and didn’t see an incident there.

Agreed on not calling all Steelers fans classless
I like your comparison.

Some are terrible
I had a few steelers fans sit behind me at the game. they were nice people untill overtime. when we won the game they were like little kids. they told me that theCHIEFS were pussys and they had to cheat to win the game. I got mad and grabed the guys terrible towel and blew my nose on it they could not get out of K C fast enough.

Yeah, we had some a-holes in 304 too.
but… I’m trying to keep it in perspective. Most of these folks traveled to see this game, and I felt pretty bad when I went to see the Chiefs get their arse handed to them in Hotlanta last year.

cheat?
where the hell did Stealers fans detect cheating by the Chiefs? If anything, the Stealers are the ones that get all the favorable treatment from the officials. They are one of the favored teams that the NFL wants to win all the time.
Air Cassel - approved for takeoff
This is not a Steelers Vs Chiefs thing
It’s got nothing to do with football at all, that’s just an excuse. For someone to do something like this means it would have happened any way or something even worse. There is no excuse for this or anything like it and as a Chiefs fan I take offense to anyone blaming it as Steeler fan behavior. This is one sick individual, that unfortunately just happens to be from Pennsylvania and happens to be a Steeler fan. The thing is it could have been from any state and a fan of any team and it would still be wrong to blame any of that based on one very sick person.
On a personal level, I’d like to see real justice and punishment for people like this, and for no one to accept any excuses for them.
is it me? or isn't about time the Lamar Hunt trophy belonged to His team?
This Chiefs team is closer to a new expansion team than it is a playoff contender, your expectations should match that.
