Hmmm….how about Brodie Croyle for a first round pick……

by JComp11 on Nov 23, 2009 10:38 AM CST reply actions

To bad the trade deadline is past

I don’t think the Ravens want to see Brodie anytime soon!

(Raiders game 1 should be listed here, 409 yds off, we let them off the hook)
(Cowboy's should be listed here - They are who we thought they were)
Skins
Raidaaas (game 2)
***Super Bowl Champion Steelers!***

Next victim: Bolts - Thanks for Chambers by the way, Cassel to Chambers = Touchdown KANSAS CITY!

Actually, The Rape Accusation Was Pretty Much Bogus

Nevada law enforcement thought it was a sham. The woman’s been desperately trying to settle out of court…she did it because of a spat with her employer at the time.

I think I’ve made my position on athletes who use violence against women pretty clear…but in this case I whole-heartedly believe that Roethlisberger was the victim of a false allegation and I think that the woman should be prosecuted for making it.

I think its still a pretty good taunt for an opposing QB visiting KC

Factual or not.

The real nickname is

Rapistburger… Didn’t you get the memo?

As an aside, thanks to his donation of $8g’s to the KCPD, we get a new police dog in the city. Awfully kind of him.

I Disagree

Frankly, I think it’s pathetic and classless. I don’t agree with perpetuating false allegations of serious crimes. And her allegation was about as false and unsubstantiated as it gets. It’s not like Larry Johnson getting reamed for smacking girls around…because he actually did that. Or like fans ripping Jason Kidd for beating his wife…because he actually did that. The dude was the victim of a false rape accusation which appears to have been perpetuated as a shakedown attempt.

So sick of the "classless" meme getting tossed around...

Is it okay for Denver fans to ride Kobe? Notre Dame detractors to claim Brady Quinn is a homo? Neither is based on fact.

Trash talking is that, trash. Its not high brow discussions and shouldn’t be treated as such.

I find your comments very offensive

a better taunt would be to call Rothlesberger a vegateble or Terry Schiavo.

no you don't

you’re just saying that so you have an argument. it might annoy you that people don’t have the same beliefs as you but you are not offended by it.

UCrawford will eventually calm down and realize that Haley isn't a bad coach.
Will embrace the Fire Haley Bandwagon if we lose to the raiders by more then a TD...
..But we aren't going to lose.
LJ will not land in Pittsburgh
The Chiefs will not be the number one pick in this years draft
The Chiefs first pick of the draft will NOT be a OL

People toss around "classless" like Rev Al Sharpton tosses around "racist"

it is now devoid of all meaning. Have you been to a Chiefs game lately? Classless could be applied to any of the toothless, meth-mouthed fans that make up a majority of the ticket buying fan base.

If That's Your Perception Of What A Chiefs Fan Is

Then I guess I shouldn’t be surprised at your comments on Roethlisberger.

Just saying, I think that fans who go to the stadium to attack a player about baseless allegations are saying more about themselves than they are about the player.

Well

Kobe – yes…because even if he didn’t rape the girl he was cheating on his wife and throwing teammates under the bus with the cops to make himself look better. Those were established facts. Roethlisberger isn’t a cheater and the last I heard they didn’t even establish that he’d slept with the woman, much less raped her. And since all signs point to him being a victim of attempted extortion (since the woman never even filed a criminal complaint…she just tried to sue and then settle out of court) I do think it’s classless.

Quinn – I think gay taunts themselves are in poor taste. Whether Quinn himself is gay or not (and I honestly don’t care if he is).

It's not...

And to incinuate that a man is a rapist when there was not even enough evidence for criminal charges to be filed is slanderous. Does anyone find it a coincidence that these allegations came up right after he signed a mega-contract? Big Ben’s gettin a bad rap here.

Sitting next to me..

she’s harder on players than I am. She thinks McNair “got what he deserved” for cheating on his wife. We’re not all hypersensitive nannies.

kobe did it

so that argument is null and void for him. While Quinn might or might not be homo, the calling him a homo is more making fun of him then actually insulting him. calling roethlisberger a rapist is in no way funny, so in turn it is an insult.

i didn't say he was convicted

but he DID sleep with another women and he DID throw his team under the bus. all i said is that he did it, exaggerating an act because one messed up is a lot different then blaming someone for something that seems obviously untrue. insulting a player based upon fact, see how i said based not had to be, is one thing, making shit up is another.

ugh

I had such a man-crush on Dennis Dixon when he was at Oregon.

I guess landing on it would do that…he apparently has to have surgery and is out for at least six weeks so he’s probably headed for IR. Batch has had some injury issues the last few years though. He’s been around the NFL quite awhile.

I predict Big Ben sits next week

Congressional committees have the NFL under a microscope right now, and concussions are a hot topic. Even if Ben didn’t suffer a concussion, the appearance that he may have will be enough to keep him out.

by IISaiNtII on Nov 23, 2009 12:53 PM CST up reply actions

Same deal left the game with a shot to the head...

If I were an NFL GM I would strongly suggest to my head coach that those guys sit. You don’t want to take the risk of more serious injury, or deal with the media backlash that would go with that.

by Randy5225 on Nov 23, 2009 1:05 PM CST up reply actions

And in Warners case...

I can’t see why he would want to get right back in. He’s old, and he’s got his life after football to think about. I would really think about that if I were him.
