Chiefs Get Front Page Treatment in National Newspapers
This is great, isn't it? It's been a while since we've seen covers on national newspapers like this.
AP user golfbard passed along a photo of today's USA Today cover. Great picture.
As everyone started to pile out of the press box at the end of the game yesterday, I waited behind a minute and watched the team celebrate on the field. You don't see the entire sidelines running onto the field at once and mauling the kicker very often.
Well, the Chiefs are front page material, at least for today.

Thanks for the cred Joel
I live in NYC so its definitely not a regional cover being used on a national paper (some national pubs do this)… I was ecstatic when I picked up my usual copy this AM. Great stuff…
This is so great...
I was so excited yesterday, I rewatched the 4th and OT like 10 times. Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of my brother getting killed in Iraq and already emotional day but the Chiefs gave me a great feeling yesterday. Ive always lived and died with the Chiefs. Thanks you Todd Haley for helping to bring my Chiefs back to life again.

Sorry to hear...I lost a good friend in Iraq at almost the same time
but a week earlier….Nov 15, 2006. I too, am real glad to see the Chiefs get a big win. I could watch highlights of the game almost all day.

"My job is not to collect talent, but to build a team. Individuals make the Pro Bowl. Teams win championships. That is our goal."—Chiefs GM Scott Pioli.
In regards to the photo...they could/should have done a better job.
They should have posted Hines Ward doing the tomahawk chop in the end-zone with that goofy smile that looked like he made a dookie in his pants.
The caption should have read “Steelers lose:Hines does premature e-chopulation”

Yes
That would have been a good one. We have a pool of photos from the other AP that we are encouraged to use.
