How did that happen?
The Chiefs won on grit and determination today. Stat wise this should have been a loss.
44 minutes of Pitt possesion vs 20+ for the Chiefs. 515 yard vs 280. The SB Champ vs a 2 win team
last year.
But, the strangest thing is we did it with a whole new cast. No Tyler Thigpen or Tony Gonzalez.
No Page or Pollard, no LJ, and no Dwayne Bowe. No Tank or Turk. No Mike Vrabel. Wierd thing.
How did we beat the defending Super Bowl Champion with what we put out on the field today in front of
a neutral Arrowhead crowd?
Geaux Chiefs

Pretty hard to explain.......
I was determined to get to a bar to watch today, even though it had all the makings of a beatdown. I know we don’t have the most talented bunch out there right now, but the Chiefs played with some heart that had me talkin junk to a whole bar of Steelers fans. Today was all heart………
How did the Raiders win in Week 2?
I think we got redemption for that loss lol.
When you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail.
Did we MAKE the youngsters step up?
Or were they in a position to do what they have learned.

it just goes to show
that the guys mentioned above that we did not have were not necessary, they were not game changers. Why we all freak out cause we cut a guy who was part of a 2-14 season i will never know.

Studebaker, Belcher, Williams,
Carr, Edwards, Cassel, Hali, Johnson (Derrick), Charles, and all the others who played yesterday, are Chiefs. Not wannabe out of towners. They are Chiefs. Hats off to you men. There was talk about earning your arrowhead during training camp. Every single one of you did that today, in spades. I salute you, Chiefs. Outstanding effort.
Team effort
The Charles run back is something that we hadn’t seen this year (or anything like it) and may have been the momentium swing that we needed to carry through. I loved the determination that was shown yesterday.
"Any given Sunday"
That’s how it happened. Oh, that, plus Haley’s getting the team to tie together. KC absolutely will lose more games this season, but to have three wins already, after blowing things up like they had to, is a solid showing. I’m still hoping for 5-6 wins.

I think 5 is realistic, 6 maybe
I think we’ll beat the Browns and Denver at Arrowhead (they are reeling right now). We may beat Cincy—well I hope with 2.7 there now. Other than that, I think the schedule is tough sledding starting next week @ SD.
Yea, the Bills and one more Denver game is tough sledding
(Raiders game 1 should be listed here, 409 yds off, we let them off the hook)
(Cowboy's should be listed here - They are who we thought they were)
Skins
Raidaaas (game 2)
***Super Bowl Champion Steelers!***
Next victim: Bolts - Thanks for Chambers by the way, Cassel to Chambers = Touchdown KANSAS CITY!
I'd love to see KC beat Cincy
especially if it comes at LJ’s expense. If it doesn’t, I wouldn’t really hold it against KC. Cincy’s solid this year.

Poor fellas
I think Pelini was just a minor hiccup or two away from having a top-15 team this year, but I think NU and KSU are a year or two away from challenging for conference supremacy. Trust me, though, that I’m a little nervous. It’s been nice having the Red River Shootout be the de facto conference championship game, but I think that’s coming to an end because of Pelini and, soon, Snyder again.

Just to start something
There is no way that the Cornhuskers or the Missouri or the Kansas States
are going to put together the talent year in or year out that TX can. That era is over and we will all to have take a shot at a year or two of supremacy in the North.

That's probably true
I don’t think any north team has the program power to be a consistent contender like OU and UT do, although I definitely think that Nebraska, KSU, and KU could have short-term spurts where things could fall into line for a few years at a time. I think NU has a little more program potential just based on school commitment to football and program prestige, so they’re likely to have the highest floor of any north team if they have the right coach.

I have to disagree with you there...
…Nebraska has taken some really nice players from Texas and Florida, both recruiting hot beds. Winning is the difference, when you win they will come. Not to mention the fact that when Texas and Oklahoma have all there scollies tied up before the recruiting season even starts, which was the case with Texas this year, it leaves alot of very talented players out there for the taking. Nebraska is snagging not average players but some really good players, Rex Burkhead was a great Texas player, just because Texas didn’t sign him doesn’t mean they didn’t make a mistake and it doesn’t make him a bad player. I will agree that to be great year in and year out you have to have good QB play but QBs come from all over the country. Nebraska has some dynamic recruiters and they are picking up steam. I feel Mizzou’s, and Texas Tech to an extent, success was due to a great offensive system and a special QB who knew it inside and out. Nebraska is building staying power and if I was Oklahoma and Texas I might be looking over my shoulder at a team or teams who are getting better every year.
Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

Not disagreeing
But, for the most part we in the North division are fighting over the scraps
or the players that don’t fit the model. Tx and Fla will get those guys.
The years when Nebraska could just stockpile players for “build um up” and
play as a upperclassmen were scrapped by the roster limits now imposed on every team. You have to have dominent players as underclassmen.
The NFL can poach those trule elite upperclassmen. Now, Nebraska has a cache and might fare better than the rest of the North teams. No Nock there you earned it over 30 years. Just that a QB that can make a team great will hold sway year to year :) NE had a couple!

I think today I would add to the post.
Are the Chiefs similar to a College team? In regards that a poor Senior class has left, some decent talent but NO chemistry. Now, The “New Senior class” is large and in charge. The training wheels are gone and lets see what WE can do. Not much Star power but a whole lot of TEAM showing up yesterday.
