The 2 Spots That Need Fixing On The Kansas City Staff

Yeah I am aware we won today, but it  was a fluke 10/9 times the steelers would kill us and if you didn't notice there is horrible play calling, on both sides of the ball first lets go offense. Todd Haley as only called good plays with 5 minutes so theres about 25 minutes where there is horrible play calling its not as bad as week 1-5 where he ran shotgun draws on 3-15 but he is still not getting it done so I have made a list of some replacements at offensive coordinator.

1 Charlie Weis Head Coach/offensive coordinator Notre Dame This guy has a patriot connection where he was there offensive coordinator. But hes in the can at Notre Dame because his team went 6-5 and missed the bowls. He used to be a good coordinator in the nfl so why not give him a chance if he is fired.

2 Brian Billick  He sucked as a coach for Baltimore but if you remember he was the mastermind behind the crazy offense with Randy Moss and Duante Cullpeper maybe he could do the some with Matt Cassel.

3 John Gruden He would probably want to be a coach but heck being the coordinator is better then being in the booth yapping. He used to be the coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles from 95-97 then went to the raiders and coached.

Next is Deffensive Coordinator I dont even know why Clancy is coaching in the nfl. The only reason is because he was from Arizona and worked with Haley.

1 Wade Phillips If Jerry Jones decides to let him go like the media has speculated. He would be a solid defensive coordinator for Kansas city. He has a long history as a defensive coordinator where he coached at  New Orleans, Philadelphia, Denver, Buffalo, ATL, San Diego, and now in Dallas. plus they run a 3-4 defense there.

2 Lovie Smith I doubt he will be fired but the owner could get mad because he wanted Jay Cutler and so far he has17 picks plus last nights game. So if he is fired he was the coordinator at Saint Louis before he was hired as the coach of the Bears

3 Dick Jouran was recently fired last week. And I somewhere on AP he would Coach a 3-4 defense. So this is the most likely pick.

You sir, are a buzz kill.

When you play a game, the team who scores the most points wins. this was not a fluke. We won fair and square,

The only 2 guys on your list who might take a coordinator job are Weis and Jauron. The other 4 have no need to take a demotion.

Phillips may not have a Super Bowl on his resume, but he does sport a .600 win percentage. Even if he gets fired (which he won’t) he’d get another shot as a HC.
Billick (whom apparently “sucked”) has a Super Bowl ring. If he comes back to coaching (which he says he won’t) it will be as a HC.
Gruden also has a ring. He just signed a contract extension to yapp in that booth. He loves it there. When he comes back to coaching (which he probably will in a couple of years) it will be as a HC.
Smith is one of teh most respected coached around the league. He coached a freaking Rex Grossman lead team to the SuperBowl. If he gets fired (which he won’t) he’ll be a HC again somewhere as soon as he wants.

Why don’t you just suggest we hire the ghosts of Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi to be our coordinators? And hey, what the heck, lets get Bill Walsh to coach up the QBs.

This is my signature line. It is full of awesome and win.

Brian Billick He sucked as a coach for Baltimore

Other than that whole winning the Super Bowl thing he really did suck.

Your research is awesome.

That was all Trent Dilfer

Ha!

Nice one.

You think it's coincidence that I bleed red?

by Mully on Nov 22, 2009 10:43 PM CST up reply actions

I always felt Dilfer was better than his reputation.

When Keyshawn was his fastest receiver, he was a shitty QB. Throw a ?Karl? Williams, with some real speed into the mix, and all of a sudden, the Bucs are converting key 3rd down situations and on their way to a championship. For years, defenses could collapse toward the LOS against the teams Dilfer played on, not because he couldn’t throw, but because he had no weapons that forced opponents into doing anything different (or give up the big pass plays).

No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

Sorry, that wasn’t constructive. Maybe I should have said spend more time on your research and less on looking for pictures.

Two things that need fixing on ap

One is your negative post and the other is well your negative outlook on the chiefs. Dude just enjoy this victory! Stop looking at what we could do and look at what we JUST did!

ha ha ha ha ha

hilarious…

yeah lets nit pick negatives when we beat the steelers….for our 2nd win in a row…2-0 post LJ, 1-0 without Bowe…just saying…

We just beat the defending Superbowl champs

And it’s not good enough for you?? That was the biggest win of probably the last 3-4 seasons and you’re complaining?

I disagree wholeheartedly. This was not a fluke at all. The team earned this win today in every sense of the word. Period.

Also, playcalling was a huge part of the win. Great job by both Haley and Pendergast IMO. Yes, the defense gave up a ton of yards, but they kept the pressure on and delivered in a huge way.

TOUCHDOWN! KAN-SAH-CITY!!!

Thanks for saying that, Scoot.

I concur. It’s hard to “see” when the opponent racks up all those yards, but surviving and getting BIG plays in return says a lot about how Clancy gives as good as he gets, even with one of the slowest starting safety duos in the league.

Unlike Cunningham, who’d avoid ever counting on a Pollard to do anything in coverage, Clancy goes ahead, risks being gouged, but mixes things up, so at least you’re never sure just what they’re going to do on any given down. KC safeties made some game-changing plays up near the LOS, by being SMART and AGGRESSIVE.

No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

You are on an island with that, lol…

Sorry dude, but a new GM/HC/QB combo and staff

combined with a complete turnaround on the defensive side of the ball will NEVER generate a 7-3 season. Think a little about that, please.
