"...On Thursday in their offensive team meeting, they're installing their red zone offense, inside the 20. Todd Haley comes up to Cassel and he says, 'Listen, we're putting a new play in this week. Something I saw in the Steeler's film.' Cassel saw it, a little shovel pass in the middle to Jamaal Charles. He called it on Sunday and as soon as the play was called, in his head Cassel said, 'Touchdown.'"
Peter just told the story on Football Night In America. A 3 day old play. Touchdown.

all about finding the identity of this team and what they do well
I think we are finding more players that have long term PT potential here in KC, Charles,Belcher,Studebaker all took a step forward today…Heck, Pope looked good too, Glad to see him getting a shot…Lance Long continues to be clutch…
Popes block on that Chambers FG set up...
Its awesome…By the time the camera gets to him the guy has fallen down and he just kind of is looking at him…Reminds me of Sackintosh Vs. 3 Dolphins

He should have kept blocking downfield
May have been a TD. Had Pope blocked, Chambers could have cut back to the inside of the Bobby Wade block and scored.
"The first step to penetration... must not be lateral"
-Confucius, in contrary to Glenn Dorsey lining up in the 2-tech
He was stopped, blocking on the sideline...
There was no way he would be back in the play…By the time he finished his block Chambers was sprinting past him…No human could have accelerated enough to catch up.

No excuse.
Less than superhuman performance from our Chiefs just isn’t acceptable.
Not putting in the sarcasm font, but it’s there in spirit.
I thoguht he had his man on the ground well before Chambers got by him.
I’ll have to watch it again. Just what I thought I saw.

I call BS
It was the same play we called when we got the 2 point conversion against Jacksonville. Anybody agree? That being said, who cares? I was so excited during this game and to have it pay off in the end…WOW!!! That was an awesome victory!

well, I just look at our schedule
and if you look at the dallas game, the first raiders game…we have had some games, jacksonville…that we could have won…and if you look at the rest of the way…besides SD, its fairly easy….honestly we went through the tough part of this schedule.
My favorite play of the game
was the FB handoff to an RB option. Looked like something out of Urban Myer’s playbook. It didn’t get huge gains, but it showed creative playcalling, and helped us get a first down on third and long.
that was sweet
an option from the new guy to Charles, well executed
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
* Stats are for losers
Definitely one to remember
That was a huge first down.

I don't think it was 3rd and long, although...
… 3rd and 2 might as well be 3rd and forever, sometimes.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
I never doubted Haley...
Some of his playcalls are iffy but he knows what it takes to win. He put out the effort and so did the players. Go Chiefs!
Matt Cassel: 144 out of 259 for 1472 yards and 10touchdowns
Jamaal Charles: 47 attempts for 255 yards and 1 touchdown
Dwayne Bowe: 33 receptions for 466 yards and 4 touchdowns
Tamba Hali: 29 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 pass defended, 2 forced fumbles, 1 safety
Brandon Flowers: 31 tackles, 12 passes defended, 2 interceptions
I remember screaming earlier this season...
how we needed to throw a shovel pass… Or a center screen.
This space for rent.
I believe there was only one draw play today, IIRC
Holy Shit!!!...Peterson resigned...Am I dead?...Is This Heaven?

And I think the fact that PIT was primed for the draw bought Cassel more time.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
