Chiefs Have Three Tight Ends Active; Vrabel is Inactive

There are no surprises on the Kansas City Chiefs inactive list for today's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Inactives include:

  • LB Mike Vrabel
  • G/C Andy Alleman
  • LB Justin Rogers
  • LB David Herron
  • RB Dantrell Savage
  • CB Donald Washington
  • TE Jake O'Connell
  • QB Matt Gutierrez (3rd QB)

Injuries include Vrabel, Alleman, Savage and Rogers.

This also means that Pierre Walters will be active for only the second time this season.

So who does that put at RG?

I’ve lost track, is it Ndukwe, Wade Smith? Too bad, was looking forward to seeing them play together three weeks straight.

I think we'll see

The tight ends being utilized to stop the Steelers pass rush, however that may come. I believe that’s a major priority today.

Passing out of two tight end sets

Is what the team will have to do….Steelers D is impressive (and very well coached).

Agreed.

Just taking my turn in slamming out TE’s blocking ability. Still hoping for the best though. I’ll take whatever works.
