Around SBN: Diego Sanchez and the Dangers of Fame in MMA

Although Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles had a breakout game in Week 10, we hear that it wouldn't be surprising if RB Kolby Smith begins to see his role grow very soon. Smith has worked himself back to full health after sitting out the first seven games while recovering from knee surgery, and while he hasn't done much in game action, he reportedly has impressed in practices.

Considering how much the coaching staff praises him, it's only a matter of time before he takes on a larger workload.

I would love to see smith have a bigger role.

A speedy guy like Charles, and more of a power back in Smith. Could be a vicious combo together.

You know...

I dominated in practices too… But absolutely sucked on game days… I have seen absolutely zero from Kolby Smith, and I dont understand why he gets so much hype.

This space for rent.

Well, I think Charles is having

a great attitude about this so far. He should definitely remain the starter until Smith proves something in a “game.”

If They Think Kolby is the Answer

for the rest of the season as someone who can rotate in and out, I’m all for it. Charles is NOT an every down back. Remember, he’s a return man too. There’s only so many snaps before he gets hurt or run down…

Why is

Charles not an everydown back? Wasn’t he an everydown back for Texas? I think I can argue that Texas football is as tough as most NFL schedules. If Charles could not be an everydown back, why is he even in the league. As far as Kolby Smith, he wasn’t even the best RB on his college team, just like he is not the best RB on this team. Use who gets you the yards to win, not the guy that is stereotyped for the spot. Also, who cares if these guys get hurt, the life of a RB career is around four years anyways. Just the life of the game. You play to win the game, not look the best.
