Chiefs Scouts Staying Busy Attending College Games Today
A few days ago we passed along a story from Chris Steuber of Scout that a Kansas City Chiefs scout attended Wednesday's matchup between the Buffalo Bulls and Miami (Oh) RedHawks.
Well, the Bulls won convincingly 42-17.
Today, the Chiefs scouts continue to look for talent. Here are a couple more games the Chiefs scouts will be at.
Florida Atlantic vs. Troy
A couple of Troy's top prospects include a defensive end and an outside linebacker. Both players are expected to be late round picks. This is the school that Leodis McKelvin, CB for the Buffalo Bills, came out of.
Florida Atlanta has a 6'5", 230 pound quarterback that could be drafted very late, if at all. Numbers wise (I don't know the player), this is great size for a quarterback.
Wisconsin vs. Northwestern
Northwestern has a defensive end that could be drafted in the second or third round. To me, the Chiefs appear complete at defensive end for the time being so there could be other players, like UDFAs, that they're taking a look at.
For Wisconsin, Garrett Graham is a 6'3', 250 pound fullback that is expected to be taken in the middle rounds. Junior running back PJ Hill is also expected to be drafted near the fifth round if he comes out. Outside linebacker Jonathan Casillas is expected to be drafted in the late rounds as well.
***
Most of these prospects appear to be late round picks. We've talked about Pioli and Co. putting in a lot of time and effort into even the players drafted in the fifth, sixth and seventh rounds.

I went to Troy for 1 year
Its an absolute JOKE that Rusty Smith gets so much credit these days when TROY’s QB, Levi Brown is TEN TIMES the QB that Rusty Smith is. Boris Lee is an absolute stud at OLB along with his best friend, another stud who walked on at Troy in attempt to be a QB but was moved to LB, Bear Woods. The DEs are also beastly, following in the tradition of Demarcus Ware and Osi Umenyiora, Cameron Sheffield and Brandon Lang. Unfortunately, another pro prospect from Troy at CB was Jorrick Calvin but he was ruled academically ineligible going in to the season. Redshirt freshman Bryon Willis at CB has the talent to leave early for the NFL and follow in the foot steps of Tampa CB Elbert Mack, Buffalo CB Leodis McKelvin or Carolina Safety turned CB turned Safety Sherrod Martin.
Unfortunately, I believe QB Levi Brown to currently be the only serious pro prospect on the offensive side of the ball for Troy. He put up over 300 yds vs Arkansas last week and a TD, despite throwing 3 INTS, one of which was on a hail mary and another went through the hands of WR Tiberius Gill. Even so, Brown has 16 TDs to 7 INTs, 6 300+ yd games (2 +400) and a very healthy 63.8% completion percentage. I shutter to think what this young man could do with a better offense. He has decent arm strength, good pocket presence and a quick release. He’s painfully accurate, one of the most accurate passers in the NCAA. He struggles at times because he will often times play too conservatively, throwing balls out of bounds and such to avoid a bad play, which is sometimes okay but when you have to score in a hurry or light a fire, it can get annoying.
he was injured. injured bad.
