Same thought I had.
And although I have been and will be reamed for it, the speedier backfield AND (and here’s the ream Mills part) D-Bowe’s suspension likely puts more speed on the field at wideout. This could potentially lead to a more potent offense, keeping opposing D’s from ganging up on our much-maligned O-line, which has faced more 8- or 9-in-the-box than anyone really talks about a whole lot.
I’m not saying all the O-Line criticism is undeserved, just that it’s been tough for them, with opposing defenses having no real need to stay back in coverage. All the double- and triple-teaming we talk about with regard to D-Bowe is mostly within a few yards of the LOS. It’s not like there’s always a safety 20 yards off the line worrying about Bowe beating his man deep. Chambers, Long and Bradley all have that potential. (ducking)
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
However, the biggest setback on offense...
Is the loss of our best tight end, listed as doubtful due to the knee injury
I'd like to see that too
I think Wade Smith was working in Alleman’s spot though.
Hits keep on coming.
Not only does Bowe not play against possibly our best opponent this year, but 3 other contributors in Vrabel, Alleman, and Savage aren’t going to be suiting up.
question?
what happened to Mike Vrabel??
he was my man crush when he was at the Pariots and at Ohio State
Some sort of knee injury
He hurt it midway through the third quarter last weekend. Most people are saying he’s out at least three games.
