The Five Biggest Holes On The Kansas City Chiefs
Today I was looking over are roster and players stats and I could tell the only area with no holes is Special Teams 2 punt blocks and Jamal is averaging like 27 yards kick returning so here's my list for biggest holes.
- RG Mike Goff Im thinking Mike Goff just hates being here because last year he was solid for San Diego Chargers and was a 4 star guard by scout inc and now hes lucky to get a one star. Ways to upgrade is through free agency or draft like next year Mike Johnson and Mike Iupati and through free agency guys like Logan Mankins of the patriots and Jarhi Evens of New Orleans,Ben Hamilton Broncos these would all be viable backups.
- 2nd string Corner back Maurice Leggett and Brandon Carr have all flopped over here at this spot these guys are not for the future of this franchise I would try to trade these guys to Detroit where they had good success with Gunther Cunningham and his Cover 2 defense and sign some of these veterans like Mike Mackenzie and Chris McAllister to one year deals and wait tell next years free agency and draft.
- Nose Tackle The only way to fix this issue is to wait tel next years crop of free agents like Vince Wilfork,Casey Hampton, Ryan Pickett, Johnathon Jolly. And then in the draft there's guys like Terrance Cody Vince Ogolbase and Al Woods.
- Left outside linebacker with Mike Vrable in his contract year where going to need a guy who can replace him he probaly will run back to New England or another wining franchise like Dallas and Pitsburg. So I would wouldent want us to waste are cap or picks just stay with Andy Studebaker or Pierre Walters.
- Tight End Sean and Pope are terrible blockers I would like for us to draft Jermaine Gersham if he's avalible in the second round or do it through free agency is loaded with tight ends next year like Ben Watson,Bo Scaife, Randy McMichael,Alex Smith,Owen Daniels.

I've seen people compliment themselves before.
But in the first post, less than 10 minutes after posting? That’s a first for my eyes.

Come on, thats kinda fucked up...
YYou guys all jumping on him together like your BFs. It was a pretty good article and alot better then most on here. I dont understand AP sometimes for this reason. Once a month we get these posts about people being courteous and not bashing people or things, but you guys refuse to listen. How about you write an article that is worth reading please. Most people just comment on other peoples articles and decide whether they are good or bad. The guy was obviiously joking. Get a life please.
Should I just be piling on? Please, Stop the nut riding joke biting please guys. If this is what you resort to to feel cool, thats pathetic. Be yourself

dar, I know you are new here, but we have written many articles worth reading. And your relative newness is shown in the rest of your comment.
You mean well, and that is appreciated, but you are kind of missing it.

I was wrong for sticking my nose in it and I regret making the post because it was no better. My bad, Its just not on this post though I see it all the time. I really do regret making the post though ecspecially if everyone was joking but it just seems like every post their is someone dogging it. I really do regret writing it because I had no business getting involved.
Maybe its just the mood Im in but I just felt like I had to post something

Now that I read it over it does seem like they are joking...
Now I feel like the jack ass. I didnt see the smiley face at first. If you read it without that it just seems like someone making fun of someone and people recomending other people to read it. It is alot different after you see that. My Bad

Well...
I think you’re pretty much correct in the “holes”
Goff HAS to go, Rudy too. I think there is at least one starting Guard for 2010 on the team between: Alleman/Ndukwe/Wade Smith/Colin Brown/Brian Waters… If waters stays, one of those other guys can take over for Goff, and a Center could be drafted.
I think Center is the biggest need, followed by NT.
Both HAVE to be filled in FA/Draft this year.
I think they will (and should) draft at least one OLB that can rush the passer. Hopefully Vrabel is around another year, because I like what he brings to the team.
Edwards has done OK at NT… but obviously, they want more out of the position.
Blocking from the TE position is another HUGE issue. I’m not sure if the guys are on the roster to fix that problem, or if they need a FA/Draft pick… but it has to be fixed.
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

Carr has not flopped...
you can make the case for Mo Leg but Carr hasnt played too bad hes played how I expected he would
by tomahawk44 on Nov 2, 2009 3:03 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
agreed
he has made some plays… but the Safety help hasn’t been there, for the most part.

Nor the pass rush.
Carr gets cut inside more often than I’ve liked, but he’s far from a flop…and young with upside.

And he plays the up route pretty well.
He needs to take inside position, force WR outside or around him if he wants into the middle. Carr can hang on the deep route. But he’s not great at slicing in front of the slant, which is why I’d argue for making the WR go AROUND him if he wants to the inside.
As for Gunther Cunningham wanting a cover-2 corner – NO. Cunningham hated cover-2 and only ran it because he had to.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

how do you feel about safety now?

smells like cinamon to me did you see him in the preseason that diving interception
Hate Larry Johnson.

Yeah. I did.
and like so many of our players, he’s shown flashes. I’m beyond ready for one stud to show up on defense ready to knock the snot out of the opponent every single week. Someone who is a man among boys and is always a threat to single-handedly change a game. How many weeks into the season are we now? And we’re citing a play he made in the preseason? Sorry bro, I just don’t see it coming from Morgan. He may evolve into a solid contributor, but a fix for our anemic secondary he ain’t. You plug in the right guy at safety and you not only upgrade the play of your secondary, but you can make big strides in terms of your LB play as well. IMO, it’s a critical position and getting it right is easier and can all so be more productive than trying to find that once in a lifetime shut-down corner.
Do those guys even exsist or is that really just the same thing as a unicorn?

tks Bucko...
the part about flashes….that’s one area of real concern for me personally. Inconsistency. There are moments where players stand up and take the bull by the horns so to speak, only to turn around and botch up play after play and then get demoted.
It’s weird right?
by krayfish on Nov 3, 2009 10:58 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah it is and I never understood it...
I think its fear Kray, Players that are scared of certain teams or players or even the moment. The “Great” players in the league have learned to play consistent physically and Mentally. Thats is what seperates average players with talent and Great players.
Personally, I think we should start Morgan. We need to see what we got before the offseason. Also, He cant be much worse then what we got, Atleast he has some speed.
OHANA!

not too many people can be worse than what we've got..
I expect to see a clean cupboard starting next year and continuing for a couple more after that….one at a time…but I think we’ll have a pretty much new team over the next 2 years…
except for Cassel of course…and Jackson…

Im not so sure about Vrabel going back to NE for anything bu to retire
that is they dont want him back. Belichick was awful eager to get rid of him in the trade with us and the way Seymour was let go, I dont think NE is looking to take back aged veterans, sans Seau.
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.
