JaMarcus Russell said after Sunday's loss to San Diego that he was pleased with his 109-yard passing effort.
"I did a pretty good job," he said. Russell took five sacks, fumbled, threw an interception, averaged under five yards per pass attempt, and completed two passes for 16 yards to his wide receivers. He is 33rd in QB rating, tied for fifth in interceptions, and is completing 48.4% of his throws.

To Be Honest
I wouldn’t be surprised if Russell was the starter for the rest of this season and at least part of next. That’s how badly Oakland is run.
And by the way, I think this is entirely Al Davis’ call about Russell. Cable changed up some of his gameplans a couple of weeks ago from what Davis traditionally demands his teams run, and started bagging on Russell and now a couple of weeks later he’s back to spouting the company line. So I suspect the boss man didn’t like being usurped and cracked the whip. Now Cable’s just waiting to get fired.

Predictions for 2009
1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.
6. The Chiefs will go 7-9 in 2009, good for 2nd in the AFC West. Revision: We go 5-11 and finish behind Oakland.
7. Ryan Succop will not perform better in 2009 than Connor Barth did in 2008.
8. The Chiefs will have a bottom 10 defense this year.
9. RB will be a problem area this season on offense.

Absolutely, I don't know why...
Al doesn’t just take over the coaching duties. He wants to sit up top and pull the strings anyway. He’s old and insane. Cable will get fired.

Agree
Question is, will Oakland draft another QB first round in 2010? I expect the Raiders will finish with 4 wins, five if they get extremely lucky: I think they will beat KC at home and Cleveland on the road. So there should be a top QB within reach, will they spend the pick on him, and tie up even more $$$ in the QB position? Do they have any alternative? Again, Al Davis’ call, but either way it’s a terrible situation for the team. I love it.

33rd in passer rating?
Hmmm…..32 teams, 32 quarterbacks…..isn’t that kinda like being worse than the worst?
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

There is only 34 QB's that qualify based on playing time.
What is the most unbelievable is that someone is actually worse that Russell, and that distinction goes to Derek Anderson.
