When the Chiefs report to the practice field this morning, they’ll bag the self-scouting focus of bye week practices and shift their aim solely on the Jacksonville Jaguars. For the first time of the Todd Haley era, the Chiefs will create an offensive game plan that doesn’t center around Larry Johnson as the primary rusher.

WHAT!?!
But how can our team possibly survive without that 2.7 yards per carry that Johnson gets us game in and game out?

Predictions for 2009
1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.
6. The Chiefs will go 7-9 in 2009, good for 2nd in the AFC West. Revision: We go 5-11 and finish behind Oakland.
7. Ryan Succop will not perform better in 2009 than Connor Barth did in 2008.
8. The Chiefs will have a bottom 10 defense this year.
9. RB will be a problem area this season on offense.
If we end up with our first 100 yard game rusher this year
AND a win, Johnson will feel the door slam shut on his career.
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

I'm sure the coaching staff is losing sleep over not having LJ {sarcasm}
What I would really be interested to see is really pushing the running game with Charles and Savage and throw in Cox for a few stunts.
Run plays with two backs in the backfield.
I would be thrilled if these guys broke 200 yards in rushing combined. this is their opportunity to shine and earn a starting spot perhaps even past ’09.
Lastly, if it’s true that the Chiefs mgmt. is trying to show that “a player can’t get out of a contract through his behavior”, then they are mistaken. Instead they should be using him as an example of someone that’s conduct is detrimental to the team and he sits while players the understand the term “team” play.
No one player is larger than the team.
Bill Parcell’s: "You are what your record says you are."
"My job is not to collect talent, but to build a team. Individuals make the Pro Bowl. Teams win championships. That is our goal."—Chiefs GM Scott Pioli.
