Mangini Would Welcome King James To The Gridiron In Cleveland

Just read an article on ESPN stating that Mangini actually wants Lebron James to come down and try out for Football, if he has the time.

Star-divide

So my question to you is this: Do you think Lebron James actually has a place in the NFL? He was an all state Wide Receiver in High School, but hasn't played since then.

"If I put all my time and commitment into it, if I dedicated myself to the game of football, I could be really good," Lebron said Tuesday night, "no matter what team I was on."

Mangini agreed, calling James "a freak athletically," and said the 6-foot-8, 250-pounder could be dangerous at tight end, wide receiver or even outside linebacker.

So what do you think? Poll is below.

I think the answer is MAYBE

IF he could focus all his time into being a Wide Reciever, going through motions and stuff, He COULD have a chance being a reliable option at Wide Reciever. I almost guarantee he would never be a true #1 Wide receiver.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

I will say tight end

I don’t think people just step into being a linebacker. You have to have years of bad-ass training for that.

Yeah, it does

But who knows, dude is a pretty gifted athlete. Nothing is entirely impossible when talking about sports.

his second year in the league

he would be at the probowl, Ive never ever seen a guy with this size so athletic, i think he is quick enough to play WR but tight end would prolly be a better fit. he would own corners that are 10 inches shorter, plus he can out jump them as well.with all this being said it would be stupid for him to go to the nfl, hes on top of the NBA right now and hes career would be alot longer if he stayed in the NBA

Tight End

I think there’s been a proven track record of basketball players turning into tight ends in football. Especially over very own great Tony Gonzalez and even Antonio Gates from the Chargers.

There is NO way the Lebron James would ive up the BBall money to come play Football.
Get paid less and get crushed once or twice every 30 minutes :(

We Will kick at least 4 Teams Asses in 09

If James dedicated himself, he would be great

I saw his high school tapes, and dude was flat out amazing. Rated a five star reciever all around in his junior year. I wish he had gone to school to play both. 6’8", 280, with a 48" vert? Lord almighty, I don’t know how fast he is on the field, but I’m positive he’s quick enough to play tight end. Dude would be absolutely amazing on the football field. He will never give up basketball, his 90 million dollar Nike deal, or anything like that, but I’d love it if he did…
