Around SBN: 2012 Budweiser Shootout Entry List Released

"Chiefs RB Dantrell Savage left Sunday's game with an ankle injury that could keep him out of this weekend's game against Pittsburgh. Savage was handling punt returns and some third-down situations in the backfield the last two weeks. "

"Chiefs OLB Mike Vrabel sustained an unspecified knee injury Sunday. The fact he did not return to the game means it was something more than a nick. Coach Todd Haley said only that "we will see" on Vrabel's prognosis. "

I hope Vrabel's not hurt too bad

I like Studebaker and I’d like to see more of him, but it would be nice to have Vrabel as a rotational guy.

agreed... Vrabel is very valuable

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
* Stats are for losers

Will Savage suddenly disappear to the IR?

Consistency is only a value if you are not a screw up.

“Alright kid, we like you but we need a roster spot for this guy from Arizona. Pick an ankle.”

“What?”

“Right? Ok, stand still.”

“No, not right, I said…what are you doi…argh!”

on phone “It’s done.”

You know ...

I told my wife he was done when he fumbled the punt after dropping the pass (or vice versa). I said, “I bet he just lost his job.” Watch, now he’ll got to the IR and we’ll never see him again …

Savage played after that until he got hurt

I don’t know if this completely explains the Castille signing. Why bring a completely new guy in when you have Javarris Williams on the PS who has been practicing with the team all year?

I hope Castille was signed to replace Mike Cox not Dantrell Savage.
