Dwayne Bowe Suspended for Four Games

We'll be updating this. Via Kent Babb:

Dwayne Bowe has been suspended four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

The Chiefs have confirmed the move.

It was reported earlier this season that Bowe had switched agents now being represented by Todd France.

This means that Bowe has either applied an internal appeal (and lost) or chose not to appeal.  It's possible this has been going on for months, even dating back to last season.

Bob Gretz wonders what could have happened with Bowe.

"Players can face suspension for performance enhancing substances for testing positive for anabolic steroids, or certain diuretics that are considered masking agents. Players can also be suspended for failing to show up for testing."

As Gretz points out, the last Chief to be suspended for something like this was John Welbourn in the beginning of the 2006 season.
