Win the Bet or not, this game was fun because of it
I have to hand it to UCrawford on the outcome of this game being based on a bet he started after a conversation earlier this week. This was basically a garbage game and neither team did a whole lot to change their image of why they are hanging around the cellar. But after the bet came out a few days ago, it suddenly made the game interesting and was one I couldn't miss. I personally dont think there are any losers today since the Chiefs obtained the second win of the season. Lets rally the troops together for that next win hopefully this season.
Thanks UC and all that particpated in the bet.

I hate to say it but your right! :)
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

No one won or lost the bet
It was clarified in comments (UC will back me up on this) that the terms of the bet were 7pt win or loss. Anything in the middle, and the bet is off.
I think we all win this week. :-)

I didn't need the bet
I get too much pleasure from beating a division rival. We’ve been playing each other for 50 years with 50 years of bad blood. That’s why I didn’t mess with the bet. It was fun to read, but I didn’t need any motivation to get up for this game. It’s harder for me to NOT get too emotionally wrapped up in the game.
But I agree, it did make for some enjoyable moments leading in to the game.

I missed the prediction by 3 points.
I had 13-10 Chiefs, but it was 16-10 Chiefs. Oh well.
Bowe and Wade FTW.

No more bandwagon bets for me this year
Accept for maybe the last broncos game if necessary.
All losses in the 2009 season will be Herm and Carls fault.

me neither...
as long as we can beat the raiders in oakland then things can’t be that bad :-)
My expectations will go up for next season though of course.

So...
does the six point margin save our souls or do we loose because it wasn’t seven?

He would
acknowledge trace amounts of haste in calling for haley’s head, all the while convincing many of us that haley should just resign.

You're absolutely right Lanier
The bet made this game a lot more fun :)

I really
wanted to see if UC was capable of eating crow! But, he was prescient enough to qualify his bet at 7 points. I’m glad. I’m still not ready to give up on Haley.

He did say there was no way he could lose on this bet.
I personally believe it :)

Lanier, very true ... I took the bet just for fun, even though UC and I are pretty much on the same side (Dark Side) of things
and I was ALMOST READY to change my sig line when I remembered “oh wait, Chiefs won but NOT by a TD!”
in that sense, it was a wash (on the bets with UC) but it was certainly more interesting because of the bet

I guess we call it a draw this week - but I do feel better with a W!
Thanks for getting me fired up UC!

we could probably take a high school team out! Maybe.

Are you saying Oakland is as good as a High School team?
Well, they have a High School QB, anyway!

I was one of the minority who picked the Raiders in this week's poll
so first, I have to come forward to admit my error. I picked the Raiders by a low score: 17-13. Late in the game – when Haley elected not to kick a field goal, and then when the Raiders got the ball back with a couple of minutes left, I was afraid I had picked correctly; . I’m happy to say that I turned out to be wrong.
Among those who thought the Raiders would win, far more thought they’d win by a blowout. Myself… I didn’t think either team was capable of blowing out anybody. I simply thought it would come down to which team made the last error… which is pretty much how it turned out. I was just wrong on which team would make it. I figured the Chiefs were more likely to make the pentultimate mistake simply because they’d won fewer games than Oakland.
Although I didn’t participate, I agree that UCrawford’s ploy made the game a lot more fun to watch. And I think the outcome – a push – is just about right. Everybody gets to retain their soul.
