Chiefs Will Be Missing Just One Player Against the Raiders
Just a quick injury reminder, the Kansas City Chiefs have just one player that will be out against the Oakland Raiders today. LB David Herron has some sort of knee injury that has held him out of practice all week and the Chiefs have labeled him as out today.
The rest of the Chiefs are probable and should be available to play barring any injury report shenanigans. Here's a rundown of the rest of the injured Chiefs:
LB Mike Vrabel (hip) - We're not sure what the situation is here but he was limited on Wednesday and Thursday then upgraded to a full practice participant on Friday. If this issue flares up in the game causing him to miss time, Andy Studebaker will step in.
I know a couple of people around here are interested in finding out whether Studebaker can play or not. He hasn't gotten many opportunities since Vrabel has been iron man to this point.
LB Jovan Belcher (head) - Last week, Belcher came out of the game for a little bit because of some sort of head trauma. He was limited on Wednesday then a full participant on Thursday and Friday.
His appearance on the injury report is likely a precautionary measure with the head injury.
WR Chris Chambers (foot) - He was limited on Wednesday and a full participant on Thursday and Friday. Expect him to play with few to no limitations.
OL Wade Smith (ankle) - Again, we're not sure what the injury is exactly but he was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before being upgraded to a full participant on Friday. He's probable so expect him to be the first offensive lineman off the bench in case of injury.
FS Jon McGraw (thigh) - And the wildcard of the day. McGraw has been a full participant all week and appears primed to start following a strain that kept him out of last week's game. DaJuan Morgan will likely be the first one off the bench if his thigh injury flares up.

a little off topic

Chiefs ticket exchange
Guarantee you will get the tickets you think you are getting. To me, it is the only way to buy second hand tickets.
Predictions for 2009:
The Chiefs will regret cutting LJ
Bowe's numbers regress due to lack of decent QB play.
The D gets better in the second half but still is plagued by big plays
Cassel looks more like the guy Pioli almost cut in the '08 preseason instead of the franchise QB he hoped he would be when he traded him for
Chiefs 3-13

You have to admit
Going into week 8 with only one player down, it’s impressive. Strength and conditioning look to be paying off.
Braccae illae virides cum subucula rosea et tunica Caledonia-quam elenganter concinnatur!
to be fair
there are a few guys on IR
but, yeah, I think the conditioning has made some difference
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
* Stats are for losers
