Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

I asked Rudy how he was able to bounce back so quickly, and he told me that daily workouts - beginning at 4am each morning - and the Chiefs' great medical staff were to thank for causing him to not have to miss a single game.

Rudy Niswanger Is A Hard Playing Warrior | LockerBlogger

Chiefs coach Haley on Niswanger today: "Yeah. Made it through the game, got to take your hat off to that guy. That’s a pretty impressive comeback. That’s a sign of somebody who wants to be on the field, wants to be part of it. Those are the kind of guys we’re looking for."

Wow, I’m not sure if I didn’t know or had just forgotten Rudy was a LSU product. I’m beginning to wonder how many guys on the team didn’t play for LSU at some point, or have some sort of connection.

Gotta hand it to Rudy

we cannot question his commitment or fortitude. Id like to keep him as a reserve however if we find a better center.

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!

I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

exactly, well said

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

Remember

Rudy’s very smart, he wasn’t going to say he wasn’t healthy enough to play and then end up on the 2nd team (see Jon McGraw). Rudy knows he’s a backup at best in the NFL and he wasn’t going to jeopardize his starting job by looking weak in Haley’s eyes.

A hard playing warrior...

that is barely mediocre as an NFL Center.

Bask in the glory that is Kwame Harris. Poor Alex...

He Makes The Best Of What He's Got

Unfortunately it’s just not that good. No knocks on Rudy’s work ethic at all, but I agree with Frank…I wish they’d find someone who was good rather than just the possessor of a good attitude.

If I remember right, Rudy has a great education...

very intelligent man. Life after football looks good for him.

You're Right

I remember an article about that last year.

Didn't he play a little G early on?

Seems like I remember him playing some G before he switched to C and doing pretty good. From what people say, G would suit his height better anyway. I’d definitely like to see a new C and give him a shot at RG or even as Waters’ future replacement at LG.

TOUCHDOWN! KAN-SAH-CITY!!!

Nas has heart...

…but I’d rather them find the guys that can actually play .
