Another Former Chief Wins High School Coach of the Week

Hhtim_mediumFormer Kansas City Chiefs lineman Tim Grunhard has been awarded High School Coach of the Week by the Kansas City Chiefs.

The High School Coach of the Week award is a joint initiative of the team, Chiefs Ambassadors and the NFL.  Also supported by the US Army, the award was designed to recognize area coaches for superior performance throughout the high school season.

According to the Chiefs press release, the award was given to Grunhard for his Bishop Miege team beating Blue Valley 42-28 last week.  Tied 28-28, his team scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to preserve the victory.

Grunhard is the second former Chief to win the award.  Kimble Anders, head coach of Northeast High School, won the award in week two.

The Chiefs Ambassadors are a group of former players that, along with the organization, promote goodwill throughout the community.

Congratulations to Mr. Grunhard and Bishop Miege for the honor.

Not bad

since the Chiefs seemingly don’t like their ex players…

If I were a cynic

I would think the Chiefs threw him a bone, but I have no doubt Mr. Grunhard deserves the kudos.

Nice to See...

…that there are some ex-Chiefs out there working to help the community. This is probably a bit more helpful than the others out there who feel the need to criticize the current team management…

NIce Award for Grunny....BUT !!!!

Grunny, Eric Hicks, Bill Maas and Will Shields feel like they should still be treated like they are currently employeed by the Cheifs.
Have full rien of the facility, walk the halls and drop in on team meetings or the locker room.
Get a life guys, thanks for your tenure but its no different than if I’m fired or retired in the “REAL WORLD” I don’t have full access to my prior employer.
“PLEASE QUIT BASHING THIS REGIME !!!!!”
PS: Gunny….you lost alot of my respect listing to your bullshit yesterday with Soren Petro on 810 radio
