A Realistic Goal
Now that the "first quarter of the season" is over, as Todd Haley calls it, I was thinking about what we can realistically expect from the Chiefs to feel confident about us getting better. Playing into this whole "quarter of the season" thing, the goal really should be to win an extra game each quarter. Looking at our schedule, I think this is realistic. Here's how I see it:
First quarter: 0-4, No wins.
Second quarter: 1-3, with a win against Washington.
Third quarter: 2-2, with wins against Oakland and Denver.
Fourth quarter: 3-1, with wins against Buffalo, Cleveland, and Denver (I really just hate Denver).
If we finished the last half of our season 5-3, I'd feel pretty damn good about the Chiefs going into the offseason. Final record of 6-10. Is that realistic? What's your expectations?

Going into this season I said anything more than 5 wins is a success.
6 in the final 12 would be great, I just don’t see it. I’d add Jacksonville as a win, very beatable.

I haven't seen anything the suggests we go .500 from here on out
Washington, Jacksonville, Oakland, Denver (at home), Cleveland…..these are all possible wins, but I doubt we get em all….
Washingston- it’s in DC, and they are 2-2 its not like they are terrible…
Jacksonville- Not a great team but they did just whoop up on the Titans…
Denver- 4-0 and number 1 D in the league…
Oakland- already beat us…at home
Browns- I think we got this one….maybe

I hate to say had 9-7 prediction
0-16 if Cassel remains under center he is terrible
possibly the weakest arm of any starting QB in the league and has been off target on atleast 80% of his passes regardless of how the O-Line is playing Aaron Rodgers did pretty good monday night for having his O-Line completly dominated by Minn front. Cassel has been no better or worse than Horrid so far.

Maybe 2-14 IF
We give the ball to LJ every snap and he can stay healthy.

Or 6-10
Possible if we start Croyle atleast he can throw the ball down field.

Damn fellas!
I don’t see anything wrong with Vince’s commentary. I’ve been saying 6-10 the entire offseason. No way in hell anyone should have expected much more out of these guys thus far. OK, maybe 1-3, but come on. We’re still in pre-season mode. Tweak here and there and well, no continuity… They’ll get better. In the mean-time, get the brown paper bag out and stick it over your heads. Jeezus!
