Dwayne Bowe Active for the Chiefs Against the Giants

Courtesy of Josh Looney at the mothership, we have today's inactives:

  • Matt Gutierrez - 3rd QB - Not a surprise. Every team does this each week.
  • WR Quinten Lawrence - This is a bit of a surprise. Lawrence has had flashes of talent this season but not much beyond that.
  • CB Mike Richardson - Not surprised by this move. Richardson only joined the Chiefs this week.
  • RB Dantrell Savage - Also a bit of a surprise but not really. The Chiefs will be playing Larry Johnson, Jamaal Charles and Jackie Battle at RB.
  • G/T Ikechuku Ndukwe - Looks like Ryan O'Callaghan is starting at right tackle.
  • TE Jake O’Connell, 87 TE Brad Cottam - The Chiefs have four tight ends. That means that Leonard Pope and Sean Ryan are the active TEs.
  • LB Pierre Walters - Low man on the totem pole. Walters is out because of the numbers game. He was out last week as well.

Who's name isn't on this list? Dwayne Bowe. Which means Bowe is a go for today's game. We'll see how much action he gets.

The Giants inactives are after the jump.

Star-divide

GIANTS
13 WR Ramses Barden
23 CB Corey Webster
31 CB Aaron Ross
61 T Adam Koets
79 T Guy Whimper
87 WR Domenik Hixon
97 LB Clint Sintim
99 DL Chris Canty

Sweet!

That improves our chances of getting the offense going greatly.

i also look like

a white Christian Okoye. 6’2 245. If i was fast enough id try our for fullback or LB for the chiefs.

I'm glad Bowes playing...

Hopefully the line lets him get 10 yards down field before Cassel has to dump it off.

BOTH

of the Giants starting corners are out….we need to take advantage of that!….as long as Cassel has more than a half second to throw the ball that is…..

thats what im sayin....

our o-line needs to give us enough time to let the recievers GET downfield…Giants D-Line are MONSTERS!……and I hope to see a lot more dicipline and not as many penalties….

O'Callahan Breaks

He’s a big boy starting at RT. I say he gets the job done today, we need him to step up

Sackoff (McIntosh,Goff) like Brangelina.

He'd better!

there isn’t a backup OT active…

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

He isn't active today

Thank god, he looked really really bad last week. Worse than D. Sac.

But besides that, today is chiefs day baby!

1. Tank Tyler will end up surprising everyone and be the anchor of our line.
