Around SBN: Hugh Douglas Admits To Stealing From Jaguars

All these mock drafts and comments talk about Berry and how good he is but look he's a Junior he could stay and we could pick him up next year for all we know i just wanted to send a memo to all the chiefs fans who want berry aka Ed Reed. Personally i watched some of his film he's a jarred page and Bernard Pollard 2.0 he will bust like crazy look at his lowlights not his highlights he's not as good as Taylor mays hell id take john McGraw over him any day you guys can ridicule me all you want the truth his yeah he has great upside but so did Ryan Leaf he will bust just like Tyshawn Jackson and Alex Maggee sorry but I just needed to vent.

who is tyshawn jackson?

and you are crazy if you are ready to call any rookie a bust after 7 games. i’d say you’re crazy if you were ready to do that before at least 2 seasons

well there was that Sims guy a few years ago...lol

Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!

I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.

There is NO way Eric Berry will be a bust, I can honestly say that.

Watch the Florida game.
I realize its only college, but I’ve NEVER seen a safetly make so many plays. He looked more dominant than Hair Polamalu or Ed Reed.

BTW, Ed Reed is not 1/2 the safety he is without that front 7. When Baltimore doesn’t apply pressure to the QB, Ed Reed disapears, but I digress

Resist the temptation

Remember Glenn Dorseys highlight reel and lifting up that WVU O-tackle and throwing him on his ass before swallowing the running back? I agree, it seems local football fans see one of these kids on TV ONCE (usually when they’re playing a Big 12 team) and immediately christen them the best player ever

Yes, but...

This could be said about any safety/secondary.

There is no such thing as a sure thing

I haven’t seen Berry play so I’m not speaking of him specifically, but in general, the transition from college to NFL is an enormous obstacle for a player to overcome. It’s practically not even the same game.

Guys that are seen as the best college players bust almost every year. On the flip side, guys that were average players in college develop into superstars in the NFL.

College should be looked at as a multi year try out and nothing more. Good performance in college is no more an indicator of success in the pros than a preseason game is.

What film did you watch?

Do you have a link to the film that has convinced you Eric berry is over rated bust material? That way we can view it ourselves.

BTW if Tyshawn Jackson and

Alex Maggee are actually Tyson Jackson and Alex Magee, how can you can them busts after 7 games?

eric berry is a monster

and i would love to have him, but i would be really surprised if we take him with high 1st round pick. I was just looking over the top 250 in the draft and safeties are very strong and deep this year. We could get one of the top 5-6 safeties in the 3rd to 4th round. i think we go nt or ot in 1st rd. two postions that are not as deep as some of the others in the draft coming up.
