Seattle coach Jim Mora agreed that having veteran Damion McIntosh start at left tackle against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday amounts to ``throwing him into the fire'' against an aggressive defense.

Bad idea...
He is made of Balsa wood and Medicated cotton.

Only a slight drop-off in talent...
Walter Jones to Macintosh. The Seahawks will probably not even notice that their future hall-of-fame LT is missing.
DeMarcus Ware has to be salivating.

Dear Matt Hasselbeck...
… please make sure to have your affairs in order prior to the game on Saturday.
I pity you and the beating you’re going to take.
Officially benching all Seattle players I have in fantasy football.

I'll say it
in hindsight we shouldn’t have cut McIntosh OR Boone. Two positions in which we badly need depth and are in no place to be picky about talent considering we can’t attract any FA’s to KC. Don’t give me any of the “Right 53” bullshit (Pioli & Haley don’t even know what that means) or cost of contract(s) (we’re sitting fat). Yes, McIntosh sucked at RT but as for backup LT he’s decent.

Couldn’t stand McIntosh either. He needed to be dropped. He complained about the physical training that Haley demanded, and was not a positive part of the (very infant) rebuild.

I assume they must plan on having a TE helping him all the time
or an RB. The other positive is Hasselbeck is very experienced QB who is quite good at getting the ball out. I think McIntosh was still a good run blocker when he left, so maybe they can establish the run to take the heat off of him. This is going to be interesting.

It'd be par for the course if McIntosh lived up to his potential, now.
I’ll be peeking in on the Seattle game to see just how he does, and what kind of help they give him, if any.
I’m not at all certain that the linemen in general have been buying into the program. This could be an indicator.
It’s one thing to try to train up smaller, quicker linemen for zone blocking. It’s another thing to go out and get behemoths, run the legs off ’em, and try to get THEM to play with finesse. And I think Haley did the latter.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

Throwing him into the fire?
He aint a rookie, this is BS Mora, you found out he cant play anymore and your taking the low road, admit it!
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.
