Trade LJ in the offseason.
If I were the Chiefs I would wait until the off-season to trade Larry Johnson. I still think that we can get some value out of him. Brian Waters and Mike Goff are getting old, and Rudy Niswanger is a decent center, and Branden Albert will develop over time, but it is time for an upgrade at the LG, C, RG, and maybe RT, we will have to see how performs. By the time our offensive line gets any better Larry Johnson will be about 33, 34, maybe even 35. If I were Scott Pioli I would trade Larry Johnson for a 4th or 5th round pick. The reason I say a 4th or a 5th is because Larry Jonson as I said is getting old. He is still a good running back when he is given a hole. Also it is just time to end it with him. The only reason why Larry Johnson stayed quiet during the off-season is because he believed in what Scott Pioli was doing to this team, but once he saw that it was going to be just like last year he decides to say something negative about the team. So that is what I would do with Larry Johnson.

Larry...
isn’t even worth a 7th rounder. No team is going to give up a draft pick for an expensive, old back with off the field issues. Its a lost cause. He had some value in the preseason, but right now he is worthless. We are going to release him in the offseason.

There is zero percent chance anybody will trade for LJ.
First of all, teams now we are going to release him. There is no way the chiefs are going to keep LJ at 7 million for next year (salary+bonuses) especially after this week, and every team knows it. As well no other team is going to want the contract he is currently signed to. If a team is interested in Johnson the will simply wait and sign him to a deal worth a fraction of what his salary is now (I think he would be lucky to get 20-30% of his current 7 million). It is a nice idea, but not realistic.

get rid of him now.
save yourself time and release him. he is nothing but a 2.7 avg garbage back. that and you save him from taking priest’s franchise rushing record. that belongs and should remain priest’s not larry’s

I agree
And I would really appreciate it if all the people who made all that ado about Priest’s nacho-eating shot a few years ago would kindly step forward and recant.

Niswanger is HORRIBLE!!
If getting pushed into your QB every play is good, then he’s great!

Maybe he's so horrible because he's suffering a severe case of siatica
LJ has been steady slammin’ into his posterior for two years now
