This is just good business people. If they cut him now they have to pay him his full salary. If they suspend him any games without pay and then cut him they will have to face a grievance from the NFLPA. However, if they wait and let the league suspend him, they are off the hook for his salary for those games. Then they can cut him afterward without any problems because they weren't the ones that suspended him. I would bet a large sum of money that the Chiefs stand pat with the keeping LJ away and not making comments until the league rules on him.
