Wait a second…so Kolby had to learn how to walk again? The injury was that bad?
"Yeah," Smith said when asked if he really had to learn to walk again. "My leg was in a cast for six weeks straight. Then I had to learn how to bend it and lift it again. It was a whole bunch of stuff."

Alright then
that injury was a whole hell of a lot worse than I originally thought.
Bask in the glory that is Kwame Harris. Poor Alex...

well
the way it looked, I thought he was done…the knee, its tough to have an injury like that, you get out of a cast and your leg is jello….power to him if he can come back completely

No, it's called rehab
try not using a muscle or a joint for six weeks, it doesn’t work properly right away. You have to rebuild muscles, strength, and coordinatio, it’s a lot like learning to walk again.

Yep. You got it right.
I broke my ankle when I was in college almost 30 years ago. I had to have a cast for 11 weeks. When that cast came off I thought finally I can get right back to basketball etc.
NOPE. No muscle tone, ligaments had contracted. I had to work hard just to get range of motion in the ankle.

Muscles atrophy
Muscles atrophy when not in use. I have been sitting in this chair for the last 12 hours and I can’t muster the strength to stand.
