Given that there are multiple recordings and many reporters heard it
I don’t doubt that he said. It’s just that is a pretty terrible recording to parade around as the proof.

Why did it take so long for them to release it? Maybe the league asked them not to? Does that indicate the investigation phase is over? Just seems odd they waited so long, maybe I am just impatient…

Yeah i’ll agree with that considering the quality of the audio file is not very good. He didn’t deny it so there was no need for further proof if this is all you have.

it sounds like a Speak n Say from back in the 80s or the robot from Flight of the Navigator.
Whats the context behind the audio though? They said he said it under his breathe so is this an enhanced audio playback?
Like DTR says, multiple people reported this so it must be true but I am skeptical when I hear this recording.

Since the sound was recorded on a consumer-grade, hand-held digital recorder, the file required enhancement for clarity before it could be published in a mass-medium format. On Tuesday, The Star employed an outside, independent audio expert to improve the technical quality of the recording. The expert slowed down and equalized the audio, amplified the sound and reduced background noise
