Video of meeting between Haley and LJ
More after the jump...
We should suspend him for behavior detrimental to team interest.
That would cost him his game checks and clear the roster spot (insert FA to help us) - benching him would not.
If I remember correctly he was benched last season for three games before being handed a one game suspension (October 21st....weird...maybe he's like Michael Myers (scary one) and only comes out to destroy his team then) by the League for his battery actions. Not to mention he has been accused of waving his gun at an ex-girlfriend during a fight in 2003 — which he ended up spending time in a domestic violence diversion program for — and in 2005 he had charges filed against him for pushing another woman to the ground at a Kansas City bar. Can't wait to see his new reality show or appearance on Pro's vs. Joes (remember PacMan)
Taking this into account - and may be his reaction on being benched - the Chiefs may be pulling a Vick out of this: claiming forfeiture of some of the bonus he received with his new contract.
At the end of the season cut him. As none of his contract money is guaranteed any more (a side effect of his suspension last year - the impartial arbitrator decided upon this one already) he wouldn't see another dime by the Chiefs this year - and for the rest of his life.
I guess taking his money is the only way to hurt this bum - you can't hurt pride where there is none.
IMO Kolby Smith and Jamaal Charles will hopefully be more then serviceable for the rest of the year. Let's hope one of them now gets to grab the number 1 spot.

His money IS guaranteed
If we had cut him before the first game of the season, there would have been no guarantee, but as soon as he played, his contract was reinstated. $3.5 million over this year and next guaranteed. We may be able to get another judgement against him but I really don’t care….ditch him. The camel’s back is now broken.
Chiefs go 9-7. LJ makes 1400 yards. DBowe makes 1200 yards. Defense #18.
10/28--The Koolaid buzz is beginning to wear off. Maybe drop this back to my original thoughts on the year. Chiefs go 6-10 (and that my be optimistic!). LJ gets a restraining order to stay 1400 yards away from the Chiefs. I'll let the rest stand for now.

it's alittle late now......
but maybe we should have lumped him in with Pollard and Turk, for a pick, instead of just let them go.

We are at least out of paying him his incentives...
since he violated his contract with his suspension from the 2008 season.
