Droppin' Names
Here we go....
*Larry Johnson: He's done. His attitude and on-field "performance" are both shitty. The gay slurs certainly don't help improve his image. He won't be cut right now (as much as I'd prefer that). As soon as the season ends, his ass is gone.
*Rush Limbaugh: He's nothing more than a crybaby. He throws a fit because the league won't let him purchase the Rams. He blames the government and says he's a victim of the media, blah blah. Look I don't have any problem with his political views (I am a conservative myself). But his big mouth is why the league doesn't want anything to do with him. Dan Rooney (Pittsburgh's owner) never said that the NFL is like the Crips and Bloods. But you know who did? Limbaugh did. So I say "fuck Rush"!
*Clancy Pendergrast: He'll be gone at the end of the season. The only reason he was chosen as our DC is because there weren't any other candidates out there that looked good. Many insiders say he is a very creative DC. That's nice to hear but creative doesn't always mean good. He won't be around for the 2010 season.
*Wade Phillips: If the Cowboys do not manage to get into the playoffs, then Wade will be gone. Which is fine with me, because I can easily see him as our new defensive coordinator. Forget his less-than-stellar head coaching resume: as a defensive coordinator, he's one of the league's very best. He is a 3-4 mastermind, and he would be a major asset to this team.
*Demorrio Williams: This guy is playing good football right now. Most of us groaned (or snickered) when we heard that he was our big free-agent player from the '08 offseason. He sucked ass last year and we all thought he wouldn't do much better this year. But he's turned in some excellent performances and he's giving DJ some much-needed competition.
*Norv Turner: I wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets shit-canned by the Chargers. If he does get fired, then I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was our next offensive coordinator. Same with Wade: despite his lack of success as a head coach, he's an excellent OC. I think a major reason why Haley has called plays this year is because there wasn't anyone else around to help out so he wanted to take matters into his own hands. With Turner, he will be able to find an established veteran to work with. Why am I high on Norv? When he was with the '06 Niners, he helped the offense improve immensly and he even made Alex Smith look like a good quarterback.
*Jim Zorn: He'll be gone at the end of the season in Washington. I can see him being hired on as our QB's coach.
*Scott Pioli: One thing I love about this guy: he's is ALWAYS looking for players that he can bring on board and help out the team. He's still looking out for players right now that are available, He's always looking, and he's shown that he is relentless. You gotta love that.
*Megan Fox: She was the only good thing about Transformers 2. Don't even argue with me.
HOLY SANTA CLAUS SHIT!

Nothing could save Transformers 2...
not even Megan Fox. And the more Im exposed to her, the less i can stand her. She just comes off as a raging bitch.

I read that too...
Which Im fine with. But I thought it was because Bay was pissed off at something she said. Of course I would also like for there to be a way to write Michael Bay out of the director role.

I actually thought that Alien girl from the College was hotter than Meghan Fox
I thought that scene was hot when she was in the bed and her tail came out. I’m a freak.

You obviously don’t get Rush. He makes money by staying in the news. That is his job and his way of making a living. He is THE BEST at it and has shown to be over the last decade, including his attempt at becoming an owner.
Most of the people that criticize him get their information from sound bites and two sentence quotes from news articles. They say stuff like “Dan Rooney (Pittsburgh’s owner) never said that the NFL is like the Crips and Bloods. But you know who did? Limbaugh did.”

rush limbaugh is despicable
he does make his living by staying in the news so he intentionally says ridiculous, racist and inappropriate things purely to get a rise out of people. the sad part is that people take him seriously

Can you give me some racist quotes? And no, the quote about Mcnabb isn’t racist.
by JComp11 on Oct 28, 2009 8:35 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
take your pick
http://newsone.com/obama/top-10-racist-limbaugh-quotes/
and im sure you’ll argue that some if not all are taken out of context but the man is aware of what he is saying, he knows that he is a media figure who will be judged on soundbites so he gives these racist soundbites that will get a rise out of people and keep him popular
and while not racist, his comment (and gestures) about michael j fox was horribly insensitive and inappropriate. the dude is just not a good guy and i don’t really know how you can argue that no matter your political viewpoints

You really just linked an article from a website with Al Sharpton’s picture on it? I didn’t even read it. He is a bigger racist than 95% of white racists. If you could come up with some on your own instead of searching “Rush Limbaugh Racist Quotes” then I’d be happy to read it.
by JComp11 on Oct 28, 2009 9:12 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
let me get this straight...
you refused to read an article on a site run by blacks because it has a picture of al sharpton in an advertisement in your attempt to win an argument about racism? hmmm
and you’re critiquing me for using the internet to find the full text of limbaugh’s racism when if i had posted anything but the exact quote in full context (that’s what the source link is for) you would have refused to acknowledge it as well? hmmm
come on man, tell me something good about rush?

anyway man i gotta go to work
but before i leave i want to make sure that there are no hard feelings. if i offended you i didn’t mean to. just got into the discussion.
you’re from pitt right? now there we might have a problem haha. go moso

Just so you know, later on in that segment where he used “crips and bloods” he also says “It’s not only black players.” He’s commenting on the the classlessness of certain NFL players after an incident that prior weekend. That’s what I mean, you should at least read the whole thing to make your own judgement.
by JComp11 on Oct 28, 2009 9:43 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
No I actually read the first one. It said something about how it’s funny that all prison pictures look like Jesse Jackson. Just because he says something ABOUT a black person doesn’t make it RACIST. There is a complete difference in the two. That was what I said, but since you’re all about this you try to make me out to be a racist. That’s exactly the problem with this website.

anything said negative about that racist hate monger
who hides behind of all things “the prince of peace” Jesus Christ to spread his hate propaganda is justified, Al Sharpton is a virus that spreads hate to all people. Show me MLK Jr. and then I’ll listen.
by krayfish on Oct 28, 2009 9:18 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
be careful
im not a sharpton fan either, not really a fan of extremist positions.
but be careful about criticizing people for hiding behind jesus to do bad, that’s a loooooong list
by airfly on Oct 28, 2009 9:43 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
now airfly go google al sharpton racist comments...
you won’t be back here with any links because you won’t have time after sifting through the hundreds of hate messages he sends out constantly.

And neither is the quote about the bloods and the crips.
by JComp11 on Oct 28, 2009 8:42 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
racist?? what you really mean to say is...
white’s don’t have any rights to say anything good about themselves or to be proud of who we are too like every one else does.
If a white guy says he’s looking out for equal rights for white people, he’s immediatley dubbed a racist and he’s banned from all kinds of rights via the media propaganda.
However when a minority does the same thing, we give them a national holiday to celebrate their heritage.
He’s not racist for not hating himself for being a white guy.

ummm is that really any different than
a shock jock? hey it’s what people want to listen to and advertisers like that a crap ton of people listen to him….

You obviously didn't get the message of my bit
Rush is always saying shit just to get atttention. He says some pretty insensitive things often and he is always portraying the world outside his own view as negative and wrong. You can take the “Bloods and Crips” comment any way you want it. But from a first glance, it seems like a racist comment. He’s always trying to say something controversial and obviously the league doesn’t wan’t to be involved with that kind of mentality. That’s the point I’m getting at: Limbaugh’s big mouth finally caught up to him. He doesn’t get what he wants this time and he blames everyone else but himself. He needs to just shut the hell up.
I’m afraid I prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run, if you will, so now I’m afraid I have something of a mess on my hands. -Arrested Development

But from a first glance, it seems like a racist comment.
And that is exactly my point. If you’re going to say stuff like “Fuck off” and bring him up in a post, at least do a little research behind that “first glance.” Because if you take a “second glance” you will see that he was talking about an incident between New England and San Diego a few years ago that amounted to New England players taunting San Diego players after the game. He was commenting on the classlessness of those individuals. As I mentioned before, Rush also says that it is not only black players. It’s amazing how that gets left out.
Now, I have no problem if you disagree with what he says, but calling someone a racist and using the words you used towards an individual should be backed up with a little more than a “first glance.”
by JComp11 on Oct 28, 2009 11:53 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
I'm not calling him a racist
I’m saying that some of the things he says can be percieved as racist. I have read the whole transcript from that day’s show. He makes an excellent point about the classlessness of those players. But in no way, shape or form has the NFL ever resembled the Crips and Bloods. And comments like that can be viewed as racist. If he wasn’t intending to sound racist, then he probably should have chosen a different comparison than the Bloods and Crips.

Some NFL players have the “you better not disrespect me” attitude.
The “you better not disrespect me” is part of the reasons gangs exists.
How is that a bad comparison?

pls no Wade phillips
girly phillips is no players coach. Iam thinkin maybe Zorn, i know….i know!!! but really, who is gonna be beatin our door down to coach here? Let Zorn work with Cassell and the qb’s. We need O linemen in the worst degree.

I actually think that may be a good idea
He was in fact behind a great 3-4 defense in SD and even now Dallas’ defensively is no joke. I think that with a minimized roll he could get back to doing what he did best. Its the first ive heard the suggestion the he fill in at DC, and i kind of dig it
A man who says he can, and a man who says he can't are both right. Which one are you?

Double Standards
LJ – Interesting how much uproar there is because he used a couple of words in anger/frustration. He wasn’t putting down the gay community, or slamming the lifestyle, but now he is a villain for using a word to put down some guy and media due to a word the homosexual community doesn’t like. The term PC police lives and is getting scary. An HBO Show constantly bashes Jews, Christians, and Conservatives (to the point of pissing on a picture of Christ this week), but no media hype against HBO, Hollywood, the producers, or nothing. I don’t mind a guy losing a job due to lack of production, or failure to be a team player, but this is getting ridiculous. The use of a word as a put down? Yes it was dumb to say it, but this is a case of double standard and hippocracy IMO.
Limbaugh – The main issue is not that he is controversial. I was mad that he was blocked from owning a team just because certain groups don’t agree with his viewpoints. The comment about being like the Crips and the Bloods was refering to so many players during a period going to jail and involved in shootings, killings, etc. Now because he is a staunch Conservative, political opponents and the media block his free right to own a business? That is just wrong, and again is getting scary to me.
D Williams – +1 Very happy with him, Corey Mays and a number of other FA pick ups. We will get it together soon….I hope. The base talent is there to not implode like last week. I think the D play calling needs the most work.
Pioli / Haley – + 1000 over last year. Lots of work to be done, but they have absolutely put the effort into turning the franchise around and will be a very successful duo. They will have the Chiefs in the playoffs and beyond in a season or two.
M Fox – Can’t get past the nasty, spoiled, snobbish, arrogance. Once again, double standard? She is an actress and can do almost anything, but a football player and media commentator are held to a different standard for their actions.
by TXChiefan on Oct 28, 2009 7:23 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I could think of a few ways to get past any attitude Megan Fox has...for sure!!
TXChiefan…to your comment..LJ is NOT held to a double standard. You seem to be one of the crowd with amnesia. If this were his first time disrespecting the uniform and all it’s priviliges then yes, this would be a “don’t be stupid” slap on the wrist and let’s move on.
It’s not. You don’t beat up women. You don’t beat up anyone. But especially those who can’t defend themselves. You seem to forget that LJ also threatened to tried to kill someone also. Whether sports figures like it or not, they ARE role models for children. It’s just part of the gig if your going to be an NFL star. You owe the community who makes you filthy rich, a little respect, a little unselfishness for all that they have granted you in this life.
I like Haley and Pioli. I just hope they have a bigger plan in mind than we have seen thus far, because their NOT willing to bring in anyone that can help this team. May I remind you of just a handful of available players we passed on or made no attempt at getting.
Richard Seymour 1st game in Oakland 2 sacks. Haynesworth, Dawkins, Sharper. I’ll just stop there because the more I go down this list of superstars that could have been had the more disillusioned I become. And thank God we didn’t get Joey Porter cuz that guy sucks right? LOL!!!

Every time
I think about feeling bad for LJ, I remember he likes to assault women…. I’m roughly the same size LJ is, a few inches shorter, and a few pounds heavier…. and If I were to lay a hand on my wife, it’d pretty much break her…. I have zero sympathy for a Piece of shit that puts his hands on a woman… I know that this is kind of away from the current topic of using the word fag, but, As son as a start to feel an ounce of pity, I remember he likes to feel like a big man and hit women….. I know he likes to trumpet the success of his dad, but his dad needed to beat the crap out of him, the first time he thought about laying a hand on a woman, What does that prove?

dude, williams did NOT suck last year
the dude was playing with a broken arm and still was one of the few bright spots in our linebacker core.

Norv Turner
I like that one most of all, well not really, the pic of Fox is the best! All kidding aside, Turner would be great in K.C. Every offense he has ever coached has been good and we all know we need some O big time. Phillips is interesting, but after the beat down he is taking in Big D, I look for him to take some time off from FB. Agreed that Pendergasp is gone at seasons end. Look at how much better off AZ is without him. I like DW’s agressive style, but he overruns too many plays for my taste. The team needs to draft an impact LB with their first round pick in the draft.
