Call me crazy, but our D line might be getting better!
Take into consideration I saw most of the game from a bar before going to the Panther-Bills game.(quality of football looked familiar) I won't revisit the film till Sunday, so I am looking for insight by posting this. Our D line is starting to look better against the run. It appears to me that Dorsey is really starting to get it. Edwards is also doing alright and improving weekly. Jackson, I haven't gotten a great read on but it is way too early for his judgment.
We gave up 135 yards to a good rushing team that had the lead the entire game. Maybe just maybe they are starting to get it. Was the Tyler trade a mistake? He didn't fit the plan and we could get something for him, maybe it was a good decision.(I liked Tank)
We definitely NEED a pass rush, nobody can argue that. That pass rush is going to have to come from the likes of Vrabel and Hali.
This whole year is going to be ugly, there is no getting around that, but we will see improvements by seasons end. We will also see who isn't going to pan out here and who will. Did anyone honestly think we were headed to the playoffs? It sucks to see our guys lose again and again. It sucks to hear about the Chefs again too. We just cleaned house from a regime that was terrible. It will take time to build a foundation and every teams foundation is O and D lines.
It's not always easy to be a Chiefs fan, that's why we have Gates.

ok, NC, if you insist: you're crazy ...
but I hope you’re right … have to admit the goal line stands looked impressive … and yeah, more pressure on QB from somewhere would help
is it too late to draft Aaron Curry?
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisiton!
Aaron Curry...
should be banned from saying on this site. Give it up up.

And with the 3rd pick of the 2009 nfl draft the Kansas City Chiefs select...
Tyson Jackson?
I was so shocked and sad at the same time. I was ready to buy Curry’s jersey
I live in Charlotte.....

I agree...
And if people say something about not getting pressure…they might have a point but that is not the main goal of the 3 down lineman in a 3-4 (Bruce begs to differ)
Don't forget to be an AP-vangelist...Tell A Friend...
well, see, the DE in a 3-4 is really just supposed to fill a gap, see ...
… if you think about it, Tyler could have filled the DE spot where Jackson is, and we could have Curry and Vrabel and DJ and Hali … omg, I think I’m gonna cry

do you mean Vrable Hali Curry and Mays with all the playing time he’s got i really think he’s has 2 be the 1 are 2 best LB we have

It doesn't matter anyway people.
Think about it. Do you seriously believe these same guys will be here next year?? Nope. Waters will be gone, Vrable may or may not come back who knows, who cares. He’s a leader, but he’s lost his step. The fact is that he is our best defensive guy right now and that says a lot about what’s wrong with us.
Our offensive line and our defensive line will be completely imploded and rebuilt next year. If not then there should be riots in KC for sure. There is no one really cut from the cloth so to speak on our defense at the moment except vrabel and he’s too old to count on for anything but a quick fix like he’s providing us now. He’s too old to be a franchise player, so again I say who cares if he comes back or not. We need to really build both sides of the ball up…immensely.
LJ will be gone. So now we need a running back. we still need help at receiver. Other than special teams, this ship is dead in the water in hostile territory and in serious need of a demolition crew. I am done trying to squint at every little thing to try and find something positive. If you have to look that hard for it, it ain’t there. Greatness shows up on it’s own, you don’t have to look for it.
So who cares really, I don’t believe we’ll recognize this team by next year’s opener.
Plus we should have a new OC and probably a new defensive coordinator, but that depends of course on availability.
Romeo!!!
Crennel. I say we get the guy they wanted from the get-go…He only turned us down because he just came off of hip surgery and needed time to heal.
I’m sure he’ll be ready to go this year, and we NEED a good D-Coordinatoor for the 3-4. Get Pendergast out of here…He wasn’t good in Arizona, and he’s not gonna do any better here. Look how much beter AZ’s defense played against the Giants the other night.
I carry a lighter around in my pocket wherever I go...I don't smoke, I just really like certain songs.
