lance long (our wes welker?)
i dont know about yall today but i seen some good route running and catching before he left the field..he could be our wes welker guy..workin the middle of picks and shallow crosses..and a nice third down option...what are yalls thoughts on him and his presence in our offense..and what was his injury i didnt hear nothing about it or the stautus of it...my guess a mild conussion or a neck stinger maybe??

He was knocked out.
It wasn’t a stinger. He got his bell rung. Hopefully he is ready to go next week.
Talked to him in the locker room
Said he was “fine”…quotes coming soon.

Thx, Joel.
Concussions are a touchie thing. They’re a lot smarter about ‘em than they used to be, but bein’ a tough guy can be the worst thing in the world in concussion cases.
No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.
Not to sound all down but..
seriously, there is no Wes Welker without a Randy Moss and a Tom Brady….it’s the three headed monster over there. Randy demands double teams, Welker makes them pay for it.
Brady is…well…Brady is Brady.
We don’t have a three headed monster here. We are a monstrocity here in KC period.
I thought Wade was the "Wes Welker" of the group.
How many small possession receivers do we need? Let’s just start with a couple that can catch and worry about what NFL receivers they are playing later…
I remember Dawson to Taylor, Kenney to Carson, and Blackledge catching the snap in his facemask. Seen it all...
Agreed
No need to make comparisons until they prove to me they can make plays.
I'm excited about Long
I think he’s just the type of receiver this team needs…
he’s fun to watch, plays hard, and is very quick.
we’ll see how they get him involved in the coming weeks
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
We've needed
a fast reciever fo some time now. At least he’ll stretch the field.
