Bye-Week

Ok this is my first fan post so bare with me please..Ok first off this bye week we need to figure some things out about this team. We need to fix this O-line quick, fast, and in a hurry before we experience a death in the NFL. I say we make some changes like this Albert-Waters-Alleman-Richardson or Nduke-and O'callaghan. What the hell was the use and sending a draft pick for players if they arent going to get a chance to play??? Time to see what we got in those 2 especially before the draft. 2nd Im the biggest LJ fan ever and i cant believe im saying this but this next game needs to be kolby smith and charles all the way, with LJ in on 3rd or 4th and 1 or goaline situations. I say this because realistically LJ wont be here next year so lets see if kolby has promise or are we in line for a new RB. 3rd Defense and special teams. Its time for DJ to get his mind and act right and get his starting spot back. Demorrio Williams is ok but is no DJ by a long shot. Im ok with mays starting. Im ready for page to come back and start again, mcgraw has done a very good job in page's absence so with that said lets kick brown out the other safety spot and give it to mcgraw or morgan. Charles has been getting better everyweek at returning kicks so he is ok to stay but lets get savage in at punt returns bc wade is a sitting duck that acts like he doesnt want to run once he catch's the ball and as team we dont need that we already need as much help as we can get. I know its a lil long but its me venting after this bad ass lost we just took, im interested in seeing what my other chiefs fans feel so write back if you agree or think we can do something better.

thanks for the post

might want to break it up with paragraphs and maybe bullet points…

But, anyway…

Bye week decisions:

  • Bench Goff and Start Ndukwe at RG
  • Get Lance Long up to speed for PR, and get him the ball more on offense
  • Consider featuring Charles at RB… or at least splitting carries… and try again to get him the ball on a long pass.. that could have worked, he was flying
  • Cut a TE… and sign Matthews… get him in and blocking on every down. Use Pope as a receiver…
  • If Niswanger’s injury is serious, get Alleman ready to start at C. Keep Wade Smith on the bench as a utility guy, where he belongs
  • Get Favorite ready to go at NT, and activate him by cutting Kenny Smith

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

im sorry bout the post but yeah it was my very first one so ill get better at it lol but yeah man i agree with you 100%. except for the part about charles i mean i like him but he is a lil to risky for my liking but if he and kolby or even LJ can split back and forth the way it was with Priest and LJ then yeah that i can see really working.

not a problem

you can go back and edit your post now, if you want…

Anyway, everyone keeps saying Charles is ‘risky’… but he’s better at blocking than LJ, usually, and he’s only fumbled once as a runner, once as a receiver and once as a returner in his career…
(2% of the time he touches the ball, or once every 2 or 3 games)
I’ll take that risk

Opening line before those funny tags you see. Those tags are "the break"

Every paragraph should be enclosed in

< p > paragraph goes here < / p >
< p > next paragraph goes here < / p >

Take out the extra spaces in the “tags” I’m showing you.

No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

Like your decisions...

Darryl Harris on the PS has experience at Center….

I dont know about Pope as Receiving TE….but could work….I guess.

I didnt see the game…..did Kenny Smith play?

...

Harris is TERRIBLE, IMO…

Pope can catch, at least as well as Ryan can…

I didn’t see Smith on the field… but, I’m just rooting for Favorite

I am rooting

for anything to work at this point.

Predictions for 2009:

LJ runs for 1800 yards
Bowe in the pro bowl
Chiefs D finishes in the top 10 in points allowed
Chiefs 10-6

Smith was in

on the goal line stand. Other than that, I’m not sure. It sure brought back some good memories for a moment seeing #90 Smith in there!

I didn't hear an update on Niswanger - anyone heard anything about it?

My problem with your post, dshyne, is that you seem to think there's something to be done THIS year

that’s going to make a huge difference for this team.

I saw a .500 team on the field, today. But it wasn’t the one wearing red. The team in red was far worse than the .500 team they were facing.

The rest of this season is about keeping a small number of talented players healthy for the future, deciding whether or not ANY of Ndukwe, Alleman, O’Callaghan are worth a damn, and speculating on what KC might do with the #1 or #2 pick.

No question. Otis Taylor should be in the Hall of Fame.

LOL

yeah i guess i do, i would really like to see us really start to look like a DAMN NFL TEAM!!! im tired of being a chiefs and every sunday all they do is let me down as a fan….but i guess that doesnt matter since its been like that for 3 years now.

There is absolutely nothing going to happen on bye week...

everyone with any talent has already been dealt. Trade deadline is over. Unless mean Jo Green comes out of retirement and Barry Sanders suits up, we’re done dealing in 09’.

I can’t understand any of this shit. But a bye week isn’t going to matter at all at this point. We had a bye season…7 weeks ago…we should have been doing something even prior to that.

Preposterous. Now there is no choice. We HAVE to wait another year…to see what happens if anything different does even then.
