The excitement I felt after Dwayne Bowe's TD catch is pretty much gone at this point. The Chiefs are down 27 to 7.

It's a rainy afternoon at Arrowhead. Matt Cassel knows this - he just threw his first interception in 152 pass attempts after TE Sean Ryan bobbled the ball away to the Chargers defense.

Full stats are here.

Ok guys! Only down by 20.

Let’s do this. All we need is for our receivers to stop dropping passes and our defense to start stopping the other team.

I can't wait for the draft.

We need OL help in the later rounds. We need a new safey (I’m all for taking Berry now). We need a TE (one who can block and/or catch). We need linebackers. Does that cover it?

We absolutey suck and will continue to suck as long as the obvious festering sores aren’t dealt with.

4) Need linebackers and a safety or two.

we haven't played to our strengths at all this year

and honestly, we’d be better off with Croyle the way Cassel has played lately. His accuracy is terrible. Yeah, he went like 150 passes without an interception, but how many of them were even caught by our own team?

Down the field offense

I can see from the play calling after the half that Haley wanted to take more shots down the field. Judging from the results, I now believe Haley has been reluctant to do this because of Cassel’s accuracy in long throws.

The good sign is, Haley is getting more agressive seeking big plays, the bad news is, we may have the receivers but no quarterback accurate enough to connect. Maybe next year.

We will once again be amongst the NFL's elite!!!

Cassel D and i still can’t understand why……..he is terrible

The entire effort is piss poor and I think bigger changes need to happen.

Haley needs to stop calling offensive plays.

It should be D’s and F’s all across the board, with exceptions to our goal line defense and our special teams.

Again, we really aren’t paying a fortune for our QB. If we had taken a QB with our #3 or #5 the last two years, we’d be paying the 40 mil guaranteed.

What we’re paying LJ is more likely the problem than anything having to do with Cassel. To suggest the amount of money a QB is making has anything to do with our defense giving up nearly 500 yards, our special teams falling flat or the offensive line letting people right through every other play — its just ignorant.

That’s a lot different from being gun shy. The guy is tough and unafraid of taking a hit. I give the guy a lot of respect for that. There have been a lot of KC QBs that didn’t do that.

When its quite obvious he just doesn’t have it..

IMHO, he’s nothing more than the DJ of the offense. Makes some plays occasionally, but most often blows..

OL.. Whatever.. No doubt it sucks, but even when he as time, its’ 50/50 he makes the throw.

The fact that

23 players are gone from this team that were on it last year and only 2 or 3 of them have found their way onto other teams is pretty damning. The talent level of this team the last 2 years has been abysmal and its going to take more than 1 year to patch all the holes.
