Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

"I'm gonna pick the Kansas City Chiefs in this game because I feel the San Diego Chargers are about 6 plays away from self-destructing."

Sterling Sharpe picked us to win while Joe Theissman and Brian my pinky looks like the Nike sign Baldinger picked the Bolts. I like us this week too.

I love how

every off-season the Chargers are lauded for how much talent they have and how it looks to be the year it all comes together…when it never does. Never. Couldn’t happen to a better a ballclub.

Aren't the Chargers 6 plays from self destruction...

every week of every year for the past however many years Norv Turner’s been there?

Sterling Said That?

Wow, I have newfound respect for the man. On second thought, I still can’t stand that punk, but I like his thinking…

Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

directtv box: There is something wrong with your hard drive....

guess its a good week to live in san diego…otherwise I would be cursing at them to get me a darn box by the weekend :P

Few things in this game come to mind

Ron Edwards is in the spotlight yes, but whats a better week than against the team he got his sack against last season destroying rivers inside the 10.

I see Cassel getting to 250 yards passing and Bowe going over 100 again.

sadly I dont think KC will be able to hold them off, too much talent to hold down for the entire game if the offense fails to get started till the 2nd half

Nada......

These commentators can’t predict games any better than a seasoned fan.

That being said, I used to be a huge Sterling Sharpe fan back in the day.

I really thought we could win until...

I heard about O’Call being hurt. That changes everything. If he plays, I think we will win.

Eternal optimist

I have a gut feeling the Chiefs win on Sunday. I have and still continue to feel the team is going to get better as the season progresses. If the defense can stop LT and cause him to throw another temper tantrum like he did against Denver the psychological effect will be enormous. It is just an observation, but many players on the sideline appear to not like his attitude. The Chargers are playing without passion. The Chiefs need to bring lots of energy to the game with them and get after Rivers early.

+1

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
