Seymour says that the Raiders are going to the playoffs.

"You can mark it down," Seymour said. "The Raiders will be in the playoffs in 2009."

Did someone forget to tell hm the Raiders season starts to go down the drain at this point?

or that the Broncos are 6-0 and the Raiders are 2-4? Or that their hardest schedule is still ahead of them?…. Then again Richard Seymour can see into the future so I’m afraid.. Cuz the only way the Raiders go to playoffs is if some one kills the entire roster of 22 NFL teams

Time is a great teacher... unfortunately it kills all it's pupils.

That would be the "greater Bay

Area Hopscotch skip offs". Not to be confused with the NFL playoffs.

have you seen

those other guys on the team… i wouldn’t even count on that

The next line...

The next line in the article is what’s funny:

“(Upon hearing the prediction, the NFL asked Seymour to submit to reasonable-cause drug testing.)”

Ha! Really.

i think he meant

people that were former raiders (like randy moss) will be in the ’09 playoffs

haha

that was the slowest spin move in the history of football…and it worked. The Eagles were not on their game that day lol

by KCCheeze on Oct 21, 2009 1:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Eeesh

So many years with Pats he can’t imagine not being in the playoffs.

Not that either team stands much a chance… But if you told me that either the Chiefs or Raiders made the playoffs this year, I would say the Chiefs.

But, my hope is that we drop down to the 6-10 draft pick range.

by zbschiefs on Oct 21, 2009 1:53 PM CDT reply actions

Being a Patriot

for so long, he may not know that not every team qualifies. He probably just thinks that the playoffs are just part of the season!

by ttownmikey on Oct 21, 2009 4:04 PM CDT up reply actions

JaMarcus Russell might make

the “Man Versus Food” playoffs……er………eat offs.

by G.L. on Oct 21, 2009 1:54 PM CDT reply actions

Crazy haha...Crazy like a fox...

just one step in his plan to get a psycho discharge from the Raiders by the end of the year.

Cable said He would knock Seymour if he didn’t go the the media with something like this?

is it me? or isn't about time the Lamar Hunt trophy belonged to His team?

Maybe Cable isn't letting Russell

wear the red “do not hit” jersey in practice anymore.

For justice we must go to Don Pioli

Pressure can make you do anything!

I believe Cable threatend to break his jaw if he didn’t say something positive. Perhaps the crack pipe has something to do with it. The Chiefs have a better chance at making the playoff’s IMHO! I noticed that the boltsfromtheblue.com has absolutely ZERO information on the game upcoming with the Chiefs. They are still nursing the loss against the Donkeys!

by casselreadychiefs on Oct 21, 2009 2:45 PM CDT reply actions

The only way the Raiders make the playoffs is if...

JaMarcus Russell is no longer their QB
Al Davis finally kicks the bucket and someone else controls the team
Tom Brady replaces Russell as QB
The entire O-Line of the Saints replaces the current Raides O-Line
and so on…

And even then it might just be a shot in hell just because they’re the Raiders.

Ah, leave the poor guy alone

He’s obviously going through Patriot withdrawl. The power of those rings is more than that hobbit can handle.

by Red N Gold Beast on Oct 21, 2009 2:51 PM CDT reply actions

When did the faders get a new qb?

We have to run the gauntlet over the next few weeks, we will be better for it. Pioli is not done with the roster, he will improve it. LJ is getting ready to start whining again.

by Eric Allen on Oct 21, 2009 2:51 PM CDT reply actions

The sad part is (or good part for us I guess)

Is there is some talent on that roster. A good o-line and a real QB and they would actually be a good team. Now Al Davis would also have to kick the bucket, but my point is they do have some talent on the team.

It's a good thing Pioli and Haley aren't running AP or a lot of you guys would of been traded or cut for cast offs from the Pats Pulpit.

by KCporkchop on Oct 21, 2009 3:31 PM CDT reply actions

It's the NFL

the same could be said for every team

totally disagree

teams like St. Louis, Tampa, Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland, and probably the Chiefs are more then a couple of players away from being a playoff team.

It's a good thing Pioli and Haley aren't running AP or a lot of you guys would of been traded or cut for cast offs from the Pats Pulpit.

by KCporkchop on Oct 21, 2009 3:41 PM CDT up reply actions

The Raiders do

probably have more high draft picks then anyone else but you have to admit, they’ve worked hard to earn them!

by ttownmikey on Oct 21, 2009 4:11 PM CDT up reply actions

That's what I'm saying

I don’t think any other team in the league has found a way to get less out of their talent then the Raiders.

It's a good thing Pioli and Haley aren't running AP or a lot of you guys would of been traded or cut for cast offs from the Pats Pulpit.

raiders are going to make history this year

when they become the first 2-14 team to make the playoffs.

Maybe he meant...

they’d be in the stands attending a game of the playoffs?

by 5280ChiefsFan on Oct 21, 2009 3:47 PM CDT reply actions

or maybe

they left a zero out….he meant to say 20009 they will be in the playoffs and most likely al davis will still be alive…lol

Glad to see Seymour got tickets

or did he mean that he was playing in the play-offs?

by saveushaley on Oct 21, 2009 4:17 PM CDT reply actions   1 recs

Flipping the coin

between them, the Rams, Tampa and Tennessee to see who gets the first pick in the draft is not the playoffs!

sorry seymour

Colts – South
Steelers – North
Denver – West
Patriots – East
and the two wild cards will go to either Baltimore, Cincinnati, Miami, New York, or Houston. You Raiders don’t stand a chance. lol
